So, over a year ago I deleted my Facebook because I felt it was sapping my essence. Anyway, I created a Facebook under a pseudonym soon after so I could look at certain people's Facebooks anonymously for my own nefarious purposes...heh..heh. Anyway, the name I chose was Clu Gulagher because of all the MST3K actors whose names have stood out the most for me, the name Clu Gulagher just had a certain unbeatable panache to it. I sign onto Facebook book about a month later only to discover that I had about a 100 friend requests from wizened ladies and gentlemen in cowboy hats telling me how much they loved The Virginian. Now up until this point I wasn't aware that Clu Gulagher was a character actor with a cult following; I thought he was just some fellow with a unique name who happened to be in Master Ninja I and The Touch of Satan. I decided add a picture of Clu from Google image search and fill out my info. Since then, I've had about another 150 friend request. So my quandry is this: do I continue to pretend I'm Clu and fulfill these people's dreams, do I delete the Facebook altogether, or do I come clean and shatter all of their dreams?
Help me MSTies!

Clu was mentioned in the opening credit sequence of "Touch of Satan", but he didn't appear in the film. He was in ep #614: San Francisco International. Just want to spare folks the frustration of looking for him in ToS.

I don't think you should pretend to be a man as talented and attractive as Clu Gulagher when in fact you are an imposter Facebook- trolling creep. Do the right thing and delete the account. Perhaps redirect the Friend requests to a legit Clu Gulagher fan page, if there is such a thing (possibly a new project for my free time).

fascinating. I'm guessing he's probably a cult fave because of his role in "Return of the Living Dead" rather than his MST3k connection. San Fran International is, unfortunately, a rather minor ep if you ask me...

I only remember him from Nightmare on Elm Street 2.
Fun Fact: He will be starring in "Piranha 3DD".

I only remember him from Nightmare on Elm Street 2. Fun Fact: He will be starring in "Piranha 3DD". Funner Fact: He starred in the Feast trilogy, and even died in the first installment. That's a feat that Gandolf would be proud of. His fight scene where he's beating the sh*t out of Honey Pie in the second film had me laughing so hard I had to pause the film to catch my breath. Funner Fact Part Deux: The Feast trilogy and Piranha 3DD are directed by his son, John Gulagher. Hence why he stars in all four.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I have to admit it's kind of funny that you chose a person from a MST3K movie and it turned out to be someone people have heard of. I did something similar, but slightly different. I never wanted a facebook account, but I have seen specials from companies for liking them (i.e. free Shoprunner for a year, free K-cups for Keurig machines, etc.). So I used a person from an MST3K movie, but I used their character name instead of the real life name. I'm guessing it wouldn't have made much difference to use their real life name as they weren't in anything popular, like the Virginian. I only have one FB friend and that's only because she's an MST3K fan and I told her about it. I agree with others that it's probably best to delete the account and start a new one. Create one using his character's name and go from there. Forget about using the nicknames for the main character in Space Mutiny, I found out that about all of them are taken.
