Just saw a british documentary on Bill Hicks from the BBC. They interviewed Bill Hicks brother and I swear it was like a southern Joel. Someone tell me I'm not going crazy! Is Joel playing some sick joke

No. and another no.
I have to disagree with this. I can't think of two people, especially as stand up comedians who differ more. Bill Hicks was a philosopher. A pissed off philosopher at that (and rightly so).
Joel's stand up, although great, was so softball in comparison.
As far as looks go... No, I can't go for that either. Are we talking about the same Bill Hicks here?

Haven't seen the documentary so there's now real way for me to comment, except that Joel was born in Wisconsin in 1960 and Hicks in Georgia in 1961. Joel spent his childhood in Green Bay.
The only way they'd be brothers is if his mother abandoned him within six months of his birth, moved to GA and immediately got preggo with Bill. I think there's a slight chance of that happening.
Also, moving this to Gen Chat where it probably fits better.

Guys nobody was comparing Bill Hicks' and Joel's comedy or Bill Hicks and Joel period. The OP was saying Bill Hicks' brother looks like joel. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dS0JIZQojWYAs for that....I guess I can see a slight resemblance but not much.

I don't think that's how this thread was heading. Badtouch remarked on how their senses of humor were different, my comments were based on my doubt of them being related based on geography and timelines.
