It is official! The lost host segment to episode K15 has been found! I have put together a story-board like illustrated recreation of the segment, and you can view that at the following link.... www.mst3kcentral.net/K15_the_lost_host_segment.htmlwww.mst3kcentral.net and www.mstdvd.com will soon have not only every single available episode on DVD, but will also be the first to offer episode K15 COMPLETE! In the next few weeks, there may be others to offer this prize, but if they do, they are offering a copy of a copy of a copy. MST3K Central and MSTDVD.com are the ONLY ones to have the original tape! Many thanks to Amethyst (Teresa Dietzinger) for uncovering this tape! Her artwork is the thing that saved this for posterity, and you can see her artwork at the link above! Hers is the first one - Joel couldn't read her name and thought she was a guy! The entire MST3K Fan Community thanks you, Teresa! Your artowrk will live in infamy!

I moved this to MST Chat for a while. I think it deserves a little time here.
Thanks, Amethyst. You're the first I ever sorta met who had their artwork on the show. And that's cool, is my point.

I thought it was TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! Even with a few seconds missing this is incredible news.
Please, pop back and let us know when you'll be offering this on disc! I'm sure were all going to want one.
Thanks a ton Amethyst!

Funny you should mention K01-3! I actually (once I found out about this lost segment) received an Email from a gentleman who claims to have access to not only those three, but the lost pilot as well! Now, mind you, I am not putting a lot of stock in the claim, and I did write back and tell him that I would need some incredible proof to back up his incredible clain, and he told me he would be in touch when he got a copy of them from his friend. Who knows! You get a lot of cranks in this hobby.

I spread the word to two places that I know have MSTies.
Now, if only MST3K Info will post it on their site, most MSTies will recieve this news.

I have sent the pertinent information to Chris and Brian at Satellite News. Haven't heard from them yet, but I just got the tape a couple of hours ago.

Yaaay! I'm so glad it turned out to be the right one! Now I won't have to commit ritual seppuku! (Unless my Dad discovers the tape missing from his home video library...) Ah well. *shrug* I've sent MST3K Central those 1st generation eps I had on tape as well. We'll see how that goes. And I'll go look through my Dad's late '80's TV archive. There's always a chance he MIGHT have taped something MST-related (by accident, of course.) I'll let you know if I find anything. (The missing first eps? That would be great, but I wouldn't hold my breath...)

I am moving this back to "MST3K General Chat" as that seems to be the more appropriate place at this point. Doing a little housekeeping in "Torgo's Trades."
