Ok, so I've been reading this guy's website for awhile now and shared him with a few friends. Something inside of me, the nerdy fanboy who doesn't want the lateest cool thing to get mainstream, has kept me from singing it from the rooftops. Well, a few of my cinefile brethren have forced my hand. In response to a few questions asked in the movie help thread about Carpenter's classic The Thing (some questions I myself have pondered on many a time while peeling that onion of a film), I'm starting this thread. Think of it as my Christmas gift to the uber nerdy film goers on this board who will eat this up (as I did). I drunkenly stumbled upon this website one night and it changed my life. It was like I found a place made just for me. It encompasses many things, but most importantly film analysis, amateur film making, and psychology. Any Kubrick nut, Blade Runner fan, Thing-aholic, or all around film analysis enthusiast will relish devouring this content. If I had never found this, I would have wanted someone else to point it out to me. Read his works, watch his videos, buy his products. His in depth look at The Shining and Full Metal Jacket are mind blowing in my opinion. He is a one of a kind, and he inspires me to look closer at films, at the same time bolstering my belief that they are the height of art. www.collativelearning.com/
