Can someone help me identify an episode that I saw once? I don't have a whole lot of info to give you as I vaguely only recall one scene.
Near the start of the movie, a blonde girl goes to some sort of county fair type thing with her friend(s). I seem to recall a scene where she was preparing, quite possibly using a hair dryer.
I realize that is not much to go on, but if anyone has any sort of clue as to which episode this was, I'd be eternally grateful.
And yes, I'm completely open to the fact that I could be thinking of some non-MST thing or possibly dreamed it up.

It sounds quite a bit like Soultaker.

Was recently listening to a podcast with some former cast members and they mentioned that occasionally a comic that the staff was friendly with would come in to BBI, if they were in town or something, and sit in for the writing of an episode. They mentioned Dana Gould, Jake Johannsen and Geechy Guy as some examples.
I vaguely remember seeing credits, maybe even one showing the list of writers for the particular episode, and seeing those names and perhaps others and thinking they were just "crazy credits" or something at the time.
Does anyone out there happen to know some specific episode examples where like Dana Gould is credited as having been one of the writers on Episode X?
Thanks!

It sounds quite a bit like Soultaker. I'm thinking Soultaker too. I am assuming that the movie was in color. If not, it might be a short.

There's a riff I can't seem to make out or feel I'm hearing wrong or am not "getting".
In DADDY-O, during the scene where Phil meets Marcia Hayes (whom J&TBs think looks like Lou Reed, I don't see it), he gets in the car and Tom says something that sounds like, "Wanted, manicurist for an evil slar, gorilla must". I KNOW I heard it wrong. Perhaps it was "Wanted, manicurist for an evil slob, girl a must!" but he said it in such a way that I know I must be mishearing something.
I feel so stupid because these are probably riffs that are so simple & obvious yet I'm having a hard time with it.

Wanted, manicurist for an evil slob, girl photo a must! You got it! Mostly. She said she was Mr. Chillas' manicurist, and he does seem like an evil slob, so..... But I liked your "slar gorilla" interpretation. What's a slar gorilla look like?

No problem. You know, I might as well make this a sticky. Anybody who wants help finding an episode, post it here, and hopefully somebody will answer. As always, if anybody objects take it down. In the episode I'm seeking, there is a scientific instrument with a light that blinks a two or three times. One of the bots replies "You have two messages." At the time I saw it, I had a phone machine that did exactly that, and I'd like to relieve, er, relive it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I actually thought I was banned for no reason or something. I was trying to log in one day & it wouldn't let me. Must've been a wordpress glitch. Anyway, I'm glad to be back. It's been a long time. Sorry if I drifted off-topic. What the heck is a slar?

I recently purchased a Shout MST3K volume that featured "Operation Kid Brother" (or "Operation Double 007). What I was struck by was that the "Operation Kid Brother" episode featured the "Reel One" splash screen that I've seen placed in the openings of some of the Skyroniter DVDs I had gotten. I thought I might ask how this came about. Thanks!

All of the episodes from 405 to 519 had the "Reel one!" card and voiceover. I would think any of the master tapes/DVDs of these episodes would include it. I wonder if the other Shout releases of this chunk of episodes include it.

I think that was the first time I had ever seen a "Reel One" on an official DVD, so I kind of blinked at that myself. If I were to guess off the top of my head I'd say that was the only disc that had one, but I'd have to go through all my discs to make sure.

What's that episode where, in one scene, the movie's soundtrack features some really bass-heavy music, and then Mike or one of the 'Bots says "Somewhere, Seinfeld is starting"?
