Prisoners of the Lost Universe (1983)
Somewhere in California a the hot host of some sort of science show (Kay Lenz) gets into a minor accident with an electrician (Richard Hatch) and finally ends up at the house of a scientist (Kenneth Hendell) who has developed some sort of interdimensional teleporter. An earthquake sends them all into a harsh medieval world where the woman gets kidnapped by a brutal warlord (John Saxon) whom the scientist has outfitted with flintlock pistols, making him unstoppable. Now the electrician guy has to form a fellowship with a nature-loving gray guy, a helpful neanderthal, and an intensely annoying thief to rescue the poor woman and somehow get back to Earth.
Wow, these people are not that likeable at all. You'd think that they would have tried to make these people better heroes. It's also not as fun to watch on its own. Two attempted rapes and lots of foul language later you're still not having fun. There's also something wrong with the sound as suddenly people's voices are pitched down and Saxon sounds like General Zod. Maybe that was by design, but probably not because everyone's voice seems pitched down. This is actually the movie which footage was taken from to put at the front of Stranded in Space, but no jokes are made about that. This film also highlights the weird problem of the riffers being bleeped out while the charaters onscreen just cuss away. Still it's fun to watch them make fun of the film and they get some good ones in here.

Over the past few weeks I've watched a few.
Frankenstein I didn't care for - I laughed a bit more during Bigfoot and Mesa of Lost Women.
Then I rewatched the last Twilight film and howled. The burning Bible line itself was funnier than anything in the other 3 releases.

Future Force Another I've long wanted to see riffed on. While there are the expected David Carradine death jokes, the guys do branch out and tackle this silly movie nicely. I was laughing pretty steady.

I saw this one at a meetup a couple of weeks ago. Very funny stuff. I especially liked the riffing during the Inquisition scene.

Sounds like fun, I wish I had something like that here (course if I lived on the other side of the State I could hang out and watch these with Mrs. P)
Feeling left out of all the Manos fun... I downloaded a couple.
Mutant Didn't wow me. It was okay, but not up to what Brainiac and Future Force was. But I'll give it another shot before I do any write-up for the site.
Prisoners of the Lost Universe This was a blast. The quips on John Saxon are especially funny, but the whole thing worked nicely start to finish.

Neutron the Atomic Superman vs. the Death Robots Holy crap! I think the Phantom rule was at play, as the riffing was fine... but the movie was a riot. NICK is da man! Great fun.
and now they have released the Revenge of Doctor X - Rifftrax is tackling a lot of movies I've always hoped someone would do (ala Brainiac and Future Force). Looking forward to the rage that is Dr. X

Night of the Living Dead
Ironically, the thing Mike calls a spade is, I believe, not a spade. Anyway, Night of the Living Dead is one of the best horror movies of all time, I've always thought riffing it and Carnival of Souls, which I also love, was a weird decision. Hilarious ep nevertheless, though.

Revenge of Doctor X The soundtrack on this is every bit as annoying as Mesa of Lost Women. At times drowning out the docs english challeged assistant making it impossible to tell if she is speaking broken english or japanese. However this gives the guys plenty of space to sing goofy songs that keeps the mood light. There is also one of the most bizzare nude scenes my eyes have had the displeasure to see. That being said the doctor is mad, the monster is cheesy and the guys are on point.

The Boy in the Plastic Bubble I love this one, along with Birdemic and The Happening my three favorite rifftrax. I loved it when the MST3K did crappy tv movies and I love it here.
Eragon Haven't seen this in a long time and still like this one. Man this movie did not have one original idea in it at all.

To constantly repeat the same action and expect a variant reaction is surely a sign of madness.

Curse of Bigfoot
More accurately I listened to it.
I had seen the unriffed feature a couple years ago. I don't want to give away its plot
Absolutely nothing happens
but I feared blindness if I actually gazed upon it again.
So how did it sound? Fairly funny. I bet it would have fared much better if only I'd looked. But at least I still have my eyes.

Transformers 3
My Meetup group screened this one last night. It was rough. For a while I feared that some of us wouldn't survive. The riffing was good, but ultimately this movie is such a grueling experience that even the Rifftrax gang can't take away all the pain. We bonded over our shared misery (and some snacks, including blondies baked by yours truly) and I think we emerged from this meetup a little sadder and a little wiser.

Future Zone and Future Force I really enjoyed these. David Carradine, logic loopholes and stupid premise makes for some great riff the the guy's do not disappoint. I love the direct to video's from the 80's and 90's (is there msuch a thing any more) they were pretty bad, predictable and funny.

GHOSTHOUSE
I had skipped this one because I didn't laugh once watching the preview they gave. I gave it a second chance because of the good reviews I've read. I have to say I really enjoyed it. They had some running gags that worked. I even laughed at some of the jokes in context that I didn't on the preview. One of their best!
