FREE Streaming TV of MST Episodes

Hi all. There is a server on the net broadcasting streaming video of old episodes of MST for free. Download the latest version of the freeware music app, Winamp from their site at www.winamp.com. In Winamp's media library click on "Internet TV." Under the "Name" section look for "Mystery Science Theater 3000 mst3k.nofadz.com." Double-click it or press the Play button. The server can only hold 6 viewers, it does crash sometimes and you'll need broadband but it's FREE.

I just got does watching Attack of the (the) Eye Creatures.

they just didn't care

TIP: If the server is full but you want to bust in, turn Winamp's Toggle Repeat to On before clicking the channel. Winamp will then try again and again to get into the channel. This saves you the trouble of clicking the Play button over and over again until you finally get it. As soon as someone leaves, you'll be connected automatically.

FACT: In the Space Muntiny episode when David's Viper craft crashes and he rescues Lia just before it explodes, right before Crow makes the "Buns of Steel videos" joke, David says the S-word and it isn't censored. BBI must've missed it and so it got broadacasted into all our homes during Saturday morning cartoon time. Oh poopie.

Does anyone know who streams it, It would be great to get it to maybe more than 6 on at a time. Of course if your one of the 6 you won't mind though

I checked it out and it was really cool. Does anyone know how to do this? It would be neat to make something exclusively for members of the board.

I had trouble finding it too
amongst all the pr0n!!!

Ended up settling for a "Red Dwarf" channel instead.

Yeah it's not always online. And yes there is also lots and lots of porn streams. But just keep checking on it and you'll find it. The name will be on the far left. Click the Name tab to put the streams in alphabetical order and scroll down to M... LOTS of porn.

There's a Red Dwarf stream? No way! I've never seen it. I'm gonna go look for it. As for setting up your own stream, I have no idea. But it is free to broadcast on Winamp. But I'm sure it's up to you to host the stream and the bandwidth. The forums at Winamp are probably the best place to start.

Actually I don't think its a Red Dwarf channel, but merely a channel showing Red Dwarf right now.

I just went to their website, mst3k.nofadz.com and found out why the stream can't be found. It's temporarily down and being fixed. They're saying that it will be up tonight (Jan 15) around 8pm EST.

I also just found out that you don't actually need Winamp to view the channel. If you click on the link "Bring up Rocket #9" in MSIE it will open up the browser's media player. Click the dropdown box at the top of the video window and select "Play in default player" to watch it on Windows Media Player in fullscreen mode. I haven't tried this myself yet since I discovered it after the stream was taken down early this morning but it should work.

Also, if you're interested in a streaming MST channel you may also want to check out this freeware program at icecast.org.

Great post, Jeremy. Thanks for the info about this web site. This is exactly why I love this board! Stay posting here. You'll find folks verry funny and occasionally giving away episodes they don't watch anymore or have duplicates of.

For pete's sake. I can't get Winamp to download and the link on their homepage doesn't seem to work with my WMP. Anyone here have any helpful tips? Thanks.
