I haven't got it yet, but I have seen the episodes.
Time Chasers is an unarguable classic and Boggy Creek II and Merlin are both good enough.
I've seen Touch of Satan several times and I wasn't that impressed. I do remember liking the host segments though. I'll give it another watch when I review it.

I thought they were all pretty solid episodes. Merlin would be my least favorate, but still a good one. I'm anxious to see the interviews.

Alrighty, I watched the interview. Great stuff, definitely watch it first. It's on the Merlin disc, which I thought you should all know because I had a hard time finding it. It's about 30 minutes long, which is perfect, and they talk about lots of stuff that I never knew.
The intro for Time Chasers is interesting, because he tells us about how the cast and crew for Time Chasers reacted to the mst version. It's a very funny anecdote. I definitely recommend you all pick this one up.

Amazon started shipping them early for anyone that pre-ordered. Mine was sent from the US on Monday 8th and arrived on my doorstep in the UK first thing Wednesday morning. Costs a little extra but definitely worth it. The interview is excellent (not sure about those background curtains though Kevin even manages to get through the full 30 minutes without swearing ;D What the interview demonstrates more than anything is the genuine warmth and respect between the cast members. Plus an honest appreciation for the part the fans played in the show's long run (but not the fans that sent them toenail clippings and the like...) As with all the Rhino issues it looks good - it's well packaged, the box art and menu screens look really nice and the picture is crystal-clear. Keep 'em coming !!

Costs a little extra but definitely worth it. Does Amazon always ship pre-orders that early? I pre-ordered something the other day because I was too lazy to drive to Boise when it's finally released and I'm getting restless.

Wonderful compilation, the best volume so far. Worth it for the lengthy and detailed interview with Mike and Kevin. No significant new ground, but I liked the detailed rundown on how episodes were written and taped. Laudatory comments about all, and a couple of minor gossipy tidbits....Mary Jo and Paul Chaplin had a friendly fued, Joel could be a little...different...nothing we hadn't heard before, but the interview was very warm and a great valentine for longtime fans.
Buy it, even if you already have the eps on tape. The world NEEDS more MST3K DVD sets, especially in an election year (did I say that?)

I've only watched the Interview and Time Chasers, but I'm loving this set so far.
One question after watching the interview: What 'Child Bride' movie was Kevin referring to? Anybody know?

I bought it on Tuesday at Best Buy for 44.00. Not bad, considering I saw it a Suncoast for 60.00.
I have watched Merlin's Mystical Shop of Wonders and Time Chasers. Both solid episodes. I'd say the Touch of Satan would be the weakest of the four.
I need to see the interview again because my wife was on the phone and I couldn't really concentre too well.

The back label of Volume 5 lists "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders" as show #1009 instead of #1003. Good heavens, Rhino, you've done it again.

The back label of Volume 5 lists "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders" as show #1009 instead of #1003. Good heavens, Rhino, you've done it again. I noticed that the movie was listed as a B/W movie rather than in color on the DVD but I didn't notice the wrong episode number. That would explain why that is incorrect.
