I'm sure everyone got this from Satellite News already, but here's a reprint:
--------------------------------------------------------
Here's the latest from BBI: Info Club merchandise catalogs will be mailed out at the beginning of November, and is slated to go up on our site at the same time, as usual. But here's a sneak peek:
Making a return to the wearables offerings will be t-shirts bearing the Deep 13 logo. New to the audio-video list will be Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, Vol. 6 ($55).
And, direct from BBI will be a new DVD pack containing all of the "Play MSTie for Me" songs from all three previously available VHS tapes ($15). Enjoy!
Sampo
--------------------------------------------------------
I'm all over this. The deep 13 t-shirt will be mine, as will the play mistie for me DVD set. All mine.

Cool. Last year I got the Crow "You Know You Want Me Baby" T-Shirt and it's one of my treasured earthly posessions. I wont even throw it in the dryer, I let it air dry to reduce wear and tear. I want that baby to last!

BBI seriously needs to get with the times and allow for online payment. I mean, they could set up a frickin' PayPal system if they don't want to exert real effort, but there's no reason why all orders have to be placed by mail or fax.

I mean, they could set up a frickin' PayPal system if they don't want to exert real effort, but there's no reason why all orders have to be placed by mail or fax. That costs time and money. Right now, Best Brains probably isn't going to make that much of merchandise (since A) The show is gone and no new fans will probably come in, B) Current fans probably have everything they want), so it isn't going to really be worth it.

That's ridiculous. You could set up an online payment system in a snap. The only thing that the option of ordering online can do is make things quicker and easier. The number of fans or their disposition makes no difference regarding this matter though I would argue that the show is making new fans from home video releases. If BBI didn't think they'd make money, then they wouldn't be adding new items to the catalogue. Online payment is the next logical step for them in this day and age and it wouldn't cost 'em a cent.

I agree, they are operating in 1960-70's terms. 6 to 8 weeks for your order, check payments... reminds me of when I was a boy and ordering stuff off the back of Captain Crunch boxes.
I'm pretty patient on this kind of thing, but they do need to get with the times and set up paypal or something. I was looking at Cheepnis new setup, very nice, very convienient and I don't think he's making truckloads of cash, so it can't have cost that much to set up what he has. BBI could easily do the same type of thing.

Yeah, individual guys are setting up paypal. It must be easy and cheap. I would be more likely to buy stuff from the BBI if they had that. I hardly ever write checks anymore.

I don't have nearly as much stuff as I'd like. I'd actually probably buy more than normal with an online payment option. Sad but true.

Alright, guys, spill it. What do you plan on ordering now that the new catalogue is out. Box Set One, Hellcats and Beginning of the End, thus leaving me only box set four and six.

I've also got my eye on the "Deep 13" shirt. That's likely all. If you don't have "Assignment Venezuela," you should get it. Excellent (1/2 hour long) short.
