I'll agree with that. I have an older system (1.8 GHz Athlon, Radeon 9600xt, 1G RAM), so I have to settle for lesser console imports of good computer games these days. *SIGH* I had a 9600XT in a secondary system for a while...it's a great card! Played CS:Source smoothly if you kept the graphics turned down to a reasonable level. My X1800XT can run it a 1600x1200 MAXED. Stress test shows over 120 frames per second. Computers will always beat console systems, because not only are they more capable, they are upgradeable. Consumer-level graphics cards are really starting to become insanely powerful (just take a look at my X1800XT again...320 MILLION transistors!). If Microsoft wanted to make a profit with the XBox360, they would have to charge somewhere in the vicinity of $1000 a piece for just the bare system. Give me $2000 and i'll build you a wicked system that'll be more capable than an XBox and be able to do way more than it can do to boot.

Anybody else play the Tex Murphy adventures back in the 90's? Darkstar sounds a lot like those, what with the fully 3D lookin' around and such.

I'm still waiting for Coconut Monkey to release "Gravy Trader"
It'll be bigger than 'Daikatana'.
Bet on it...

This game genuinely intrigues me, MST connection or not. I plan on buying it when it comes out for PC, if only to see Joel with a Fu Manchu mustache.

Sorry about the old bump, but reptiliansamurai pointed out in another thread that the site has been updated recently. It seemed more appropriate to reply here than spamming the other. Also- the website has been updated recently. It's taking a long time, but it at least isn't vaporware (which I feared for a long time.) Check it out at www.darkstar.gsFrom their updates: And from their interactive pic of SIMON's room: It sounds as if completion is nearing.

Took a look at the site and they have a new entry in the news section. Looks like they had to do some reshoots to add some new story elements, but mostly it's all post production. Now we just have to wait another 5 or so years for that and we should see this sometime shortly before I have grandchildren.
