May I ask why? Apparently Rick Sloane is a fan of the original MST3K riffing of his first Hobgoblins and seems to be very aware of the fact MST3K actually made it the cult film it is. He sent a very kind email to Mary Jo and sent us an advance copy to view. How could you not watch? I don't suppose we could possibly get a quick mini-review, good sir? he said nervously and a little queasily.

I don't know about you losers, but I was totally hoping for a brand new Sloany adventure, not a remake. This is quite disappointing.

I know many people are asking if CT will try to get the right, but here is a more likely question. Will SLOANE himself try and licence the rights to them? He did it the first time, and granted he was slammed pretty hard, but it seems he was appreciative if he sent a copy to Mary Jo. Hell, that might have been the first step.

I dunno, its seems Hobgoblins 2 would be better for Rifftrax than CT. But that's just me.

The sequel has already been finished made and will come out on DVD sometime next year, maybe this will be better then the original.

I think I'd rather make money as a prostitute, if you can stomach that image.

I'd say Rick should have Lion's Gate to release this on DVD.

Yeah. Lion's Gate will release anything. Though they don't seem half as desperate for movies as Wienstein Company...

You know, as frightening as it sounds, I can't wait to see this remake. Hobgoblins is one of my favorite experiments.
