A new Jones picture set to come out in 2007. Who here is excited about this, I for one love the originals but the new Star Wars pictures have made me leery.

How old is Harrison Ford now? 50-something?

Will Indiana Jones be in a wheelchair?

In this movie, John Rhys-Davies and Harrison Ford sit around at a facility in Florida, talking about the high price of perscription drugs, the fact that young people use curse words, and how sexy things were when they were implied in movies. They only pause to watch an episode of...
MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCCK!

Harrison Ford is well over 60 by now. I believe he was the 'old man' of the original Star Wars cast and I think he was in his mid-30s at that point.
(Just checked IMDB, Ford will be 64 this coming July)
In my opinion, nothing good can come of this.

The movie is set 25 years later from the last movie so that means he will be fighting hippies in the 60's. Should leave well enought alone Spielberg.

I *can* see this working, and I'll go see it in theaters most likely. But I won't be shocked and appalled if it's not a great film that knocks my socks off.
I mean, I'm expecting less from the new Pink Panther film that's coming out, and that's also one that I plan to catch in theaters.
The thing about Indiana Jones is that while the action scenes were great, they were a small part of the movies. Everyone remembers Jones barely escaping the temple in his first movie's beginning, but whenever I think of Jones my first thought is always one of his "light research" scenes like when he's at the church/museum in Venice in the third one. "X marks the spot."
The only real issue I have is that there won't be Nazis. Commies maybe, but no Nazis.
Meanwhile, I'll just keep praying for a sequel to Sky Captain...

I'm guessing they'll probably go "Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" style with this. Or maybe he'll be the sidekick to a younger guy who he taught. Anyway, it's going to suck. They should have made a "Relic Hunter" movie. That'd be hot!

If nothing else, I bet that this movie'll explain how he lost his eye by the time of the YIJC.

A few years back, it was announced that M. Night Shamalamadingdong was writing this film. I don't know who's lined up today, but if it's still him, we can expect a twist at the end that you can see coming 20 miles away (Ex: The Village).
I love the Indy movies. And Harison Ford is one of my favorite actors, even if he is older. I look forward to seeing what they'll do with it. (Even though movies these days lack a certian something that they used to have.)

Hehe, anything about fighting the hippies is ok by me. Seriously, I have low expectations for this, but am willing to be proved wrong. No Nazi's though?? They're the villains you love to hate - the two good Indiana Jones movies both had them, and my biggest problem with the Temple of Doom was that it had no interesting villains. I mean, goofy looking, sweaty guys do not an interesting villain make.
