Ok comic book movie ppl...What did you think of "The Crow" movie back in the early 90's? That was one one of my faves as a teen.

Honestly, I consider Batman: The Animated Series to be more "official" than any other format, be it the comics or the movies or whatever. I just adore the cartoon so much. Superman: TAS was also decent, but Justice League is just incredible. My problem with Superman TAS was it was a bit too kiddy appeal, I guess. It was missing that hardcoreness of Batman, Beyond, and JL/JLU. But Batman TAS also lost something in the move to Kids WB for the New Batman Adventures, even though there were a few great episodes here and there (Over the Edge and Old Wounds were easily on par with the best of the Fox series), so I assume it might have been just trying to adjust to it's new home.

The best comic book movie so far, hands down, is the first Batman movie. Nicholson, the lines, Keaton, all that jazz. I dare you to find something against it.

Burton's Batman? I liked it, but it was a bit sluggish at times -I got bored with it at times- and I prefer the dark night version seen in Batman Begins. But it's a good movie.
The Crow was pretty cool. I loved the stylized, expressionistic look of the picture.
Another movie I'd love to see, but we never will. Would be an adaptation of John Ostrander's Specter. It was a comic of Biblical proportion, literally.
John was a theologian and it showed in this character. Visually it would rock, and it would be a feast for the brains as well.

I agree with MJ. Begins rocked the house, and Burton's film is a bit bland in retrospect. The script is a bit of a snoozer, saved by Nicholson's energetic performance and Burton's moody visuals. Everytime I look back on it, all I see is a feeling of "It'll do" as opposed to the "Oh yeah, that's Batman" I get from Mask of the Phantasm or Begins.
And as good a Joker Nicholson was, Mark Hamill wipes the floor with him (voiceover or otherwise). He was the perfect blend of clown and psycho. Dark humor at it's finest.
"Well if it isn't Smokey the Babe, just in time to meet her biggest fan!"

Hey, since we're touching on DC comics here, what do you guys think of a Green Lantern movie being feasible? Really, I think that a CG movie would be the best outlet for GL.
A Booster Gold movie would be fantastic. And really boring. And a flop. And I'd be the only person to go see it.

I would love a Green Lantern movie. What an awesome character.
I admit, I'm much more attached to Marvel then DC-DC always seemed too wimpy to me as a kid, so I got into Marvel more. Though I shall never give up my Wonder Woman Underoos.

Yeah. I don't think that Burton's Batman movie aged too well. I enjoy it, but it borders too much on the cheap and goofy for me to really love it. There are awesome things about it (some of the style is cool, Nicholson's Joker), and there are terrible things about it (some of the style is just cheap, the way the feel bounces around from dark to campy, even though it was supposedly a return to seriousness, PRINCE). Batman Begins kicked its ass in pretty much every respect.

The Greatest Story Never Told, I think it was? He was such a whiner, and Billy West as the little robot that followed him around was priceless. Good episode though. As for Lantern, I think it would rock. The DC character I'm pushing for the most is Wonder Woman. She is long overdue.

I think a Green Lantern movie would be phenomenal if done right, they're is so many great characters, and stories to tell; it could easily become the new Star Wars. A Booster Gold movie would be fantastic. And really boring. And a flop. Not if you threw Ted Kord in there.
