Oh, sorry, Ian. I think the newer CD players DO play mp3s. Sonys so, I believe. D'oh! You are right. I didn't even think of that. I only listen to music on my computer so I didn't even think of the MP3 compatability on CD players and DVD players these days. --Ian

Oh, man. That Road House commentary is the funniest thing I've heard in quite a while. Truly terrific stuff.

Just to show how far I have gone with the Roadhouse Rifftrax: This is the main menu for my DVD: This is one of the scene selection pages: And here is the DVD label for printable DVDs: I can't wait for FIFTH ELEMENT! --Ian

Well, as an owner of the Trax and the original DVD, I am being provided thanks to the great and wonderful gammer73, with a properly synced-up DVD copy of the film, plus Mike commentary. Should anyone want to provide me with proof of ownership of the RiffTrax, and just tell me they own the DVD, then I'd provide a copy of the DVD at cost, which is about 50c plus a bit for postage. Spread the love, and spread the thanks to gammer73. This is an excellent solution to any old-timers out there

mrtorso, amazing DVD menu. Man, I wish I was smart enough to rip and encode and convert and all that good stuff. Or at least patient enough to learn.

mrtorso, amazing DVD menu. Man, I wish I was smart enough to rip and encode and convert and all that good stuff. Or at least patient enough to learn. I have been in a ripping and burning frenzy lately. I am in the process of making DVDs for my MST tapes, then Rifftrax came along. I wasn't going to even make chapter pages but the descriptions of the chapters in the Rifftrax txt file cracked me up so I made the chapter titles based on those. Hell, I even made an easter egg that plays the Patrick Swayze X-mas song from episode 321. On the main menu I have Swayze's mullet light up if you hit the buttons right. I have waaayyyyy too much free time. --Ian

If you'll notice, on the front page, they have a poll asking browsers which film series they'd like to hear get the RiffTrax treatment. I can't believe Star Wars is getting the most votes - I'd much rather hear Mike slam Peter Jackson's cinematic train wrecks. I'd rather see him attack George Lucas' cinematic train wrecks - the prequels. That would be heaven. (I'm trying my hardest not to get into this here, but I have to at least ask: Do you really think the LOTR trilogy is a train wreck?)

I deleted my post because I didn't want to get into a big argument over "what was wrong with the LOTR trilogy." It's become too much of a headache to me to explain why I dislike Peter Jackson's films. I really don't want to get into a whole argument over this guy....he bores me, and arguing about his work is boring as well. Let's just say I truly dislike his work and let it go at that. It's best not to get into these things.

I was just curious as to why one would call it a train wreck. That's all.

While I still think that Jackson's LOTR is pretty bad, I take back what I said about the trilogy being a "cinematic train wreck." I was just on the IMDb message boards for "Dune" (my all-time favorite sci-fi movie) where several (in my opinion, not-too-bright) people suggested that Peter Jackson do a remake. Now THAT would be a true cinematic train wreck, in my opinion.

Going to download all the Rifftrax's once I move to my new house. Saw Road House 2 tonight, and I think Mike would have fun with it. It's got nothing on the original in terms of cheesy dialogue sheer ludicrousness, but has some good action scenes, and hot babes. I'm sure Mike can make fun of Jake Busey for 85 minutes.
