I didn't think that the Cocktail commentary had as much oompf to it as some of Mike's other tracks. Sure, it's funny, but the overwhelming annoyingness of the film can sometime drag the humor down. In any case, the commentary was my least favorite of all the RiffTrax thus far.

RH is still first and then Cocktail followed by StarTrek V.

I tried, really tried to watch it tonight and....failed! The movie got the better of me and half way through I started hitting the next chapter button. I can't remember when I have "thumbed" through a movie like that, watched about 6 seconds of dialog and pretty much felt I saw all the movie had to offer. Mike's riffing was on par, what I heard of it, but the movie overwhelmed me. I will have to go back and hear what I missed, but it may take watching this movie in small doses to build up an immunity. God, what a wretched, transparent film!

I finally got a chance to watch Cocktail with the RiffTrax today. I had seen this movie years ago and my head still ached from the memory. I almost had to force myself to watch it, but in my personal opinion this was one of the best RiffTrax so far. You have to love the scientology jokes and Mike's delivery and timing are perfect throughout. On to XXX this afternoon. (I can't believe I just bought these two DVDs for $9.99 a piece. The Best Buy folks are starting to give me really strange looks)

A quick message about the cover, which is an excellent idea - shouldn't the first line on the back cover read "A drunk Australian counsels Tom Cruise..."? rather than "A drunken Australian councils..."?
