They have a penguin? Sorry, I've only heard Star Trek V... I'm not really sure about the character. I don't think he appears in the actual Rifftrax. He's not in any of the rifftrax. Its supposed to be the penguin from the webpage. His "character" shows up in the RiffTrax forum every once in a while to cause a ruckus.

I thought it was hilarious, maybe the best RiffTrax yet. It drags on a bit late in the movie (the movie's fault, really), but it's hysterical. Mike is downright vitriolic at times, which was a bit out of character for him but very entertaining.

I thought they missed a ton of good riffing opportunities. It sounded like they were ad-libbing a lot of it. There was a lot of dead air, too.
But when they did riff, it was great. When Mike told Jar-Jar to "Just go to hell!", I fell over.
However, they totally missed on some great riffable dialogue like, "Are you brain dead?" or "Yippee!". They let Amidala off a bit too easily, too.

Watched it yesterday with a friend of mine who is a huge Star Wars junkie and we were both laughing so hard we were crying. He is also an avid fan of MST3K.
What i thought was great was after watching the film with the Rifftrax, he saw the movie from their angle and agreed with what they were saying.

I watched it last night instead of watching election results (not bloody interested, thank you.) What fun! I had a good time watching it. However I did find it mildly disturbing that Mike and Kevin could jump all over George Lucas' backside about Jar Jar being a blatantly racist character, but then they seemed to have no qualms about doing a whole slew of offensive stereotypical Chinese Restaurant jokes about the Trade Federation Characters! How come Lucas is fair game for the Jar Jar character and their treatment of the Trade Federation characters is any different?

I think their Asian stereotype gags had the same point as the Jar Jar criticism. I don't think they were mocking the characters' accents as much as they were mocking Lucas for making that baffling decision when conceiving them. I do think they overdid it, though. It got old quick.

Tatooine desert landscape appears. Mike (Al Gore voice): "This used to be the Pacific Ocean!"
