Spin Doctors - Pocket Full of Kryptonite yes I know I'm 15 years behind times. I might get around to listen to that new kind of of music I think it's called Grunge music. Tell me you didn't pay more than $1.99 for this.

Bumping. For good reason, mind you. Got my birthday presents in the mail yesterday. "Scandinavian Leather"-arguably one of the best Turbonegro albums ever. Includes "F.T.W.", "Sell Your Body", and "Turbonegro Must Be Destroyed". "Darkness Forever"-live Turbonegro album. This is the remastered version, so save for a few spots where the solos are a bit lower than preferable, this is a killer live recording. Songs are mostly from "Ass Cobra" and "Apocalypse Dudes". "All Likkered Up"-Bless Roger Alan Wade. The man wrote for such folks as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, etc. But this album of his own work shows off his great voice and delightful lyrics. Anyone who loves the funny music should check this out. Even Carey McCare loved it! Came with a DVD too, so it was a great deal. Tracks include "Butt Ugly Slut", "Frying Bacon Nekkid", "Baby's Gone Back To Whorin' " and "BB Gun". Also some sweet stuff too. Great album.

I'm in a Depeche Mode phase. Bite me. Great soundtrack with a nice range of tunes. "Proud" by Heather Small is a particular favorite. Even better range of tunes, including tracks by Daft Punk, Etta James, and The Chemical Brothers.

LOVE IT. Been listening to it since Saturday. Also picked up Minutes to Midnight, but I don't like it as much.

Marillion's Somewhere Else. Great music as always from a band that gets better with age.

Sorry, getting squishy there. I'm too lazy to go looking for the pics, but my latest CD purchases were as follows: Grinderman: Grinderman (Nick Cave's new side project) Pretty Vacant (old school punk compilation) Fields of the Nephilim: Mourning Sun Dresden Dolls: Dresden Dolls Christian Death: Only Theatre of Pain (replacing a very old cassette)

Pic in my sig: The Who Sell Out - Because TS69 said so. (Oh and it ranked 113th in Rolling Stones list of the 500 greatest rock albums)
Great album, more of the smooth pop (with some psychedelic flourishes added like a spice; a dash here, a dash there...) rather than the sonic rockers they'd provide later (Roger doesn't scream. lol)
CD includes 10 songs they worked on during this recording session, with one from '68 recorded long after the album was released.
"Mary Ann With the Shaky Hand", and, "I Can See For Miles", are my favorites. You know, Keith Moon really wasn't a very good drummer in the traditional sense. He was chaotic and seemed to go off into his own world, separate from what the band was playing. But I can't imagine these songs, Especially the explosive "Miles", without him. He might not have fit with another band, but he fit with these guys well.

Great two-disc set. Very cool mixes-it has me bouncing at work. This keeps up the trend of great Me First albums. My mom even likes this band. Yes. That's right. And it's everything I thought it would be. Check it out. You won't regret it.

I think I may be the only person who still buys cds. This is the season 5 (last season) soundtrack for "Queer as Folk". Some serious names on this one-PJ Harvey, Fatboy Slim, Marilyn Manson, Cyndi Lauper. I can't get tired of these soundtracks, and they're perfect for keeping me up at work.

I still buy CDs. Never have done the download thing much. I love the 60s... The Electric Prunes - I dig the psychedelic title track, "I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night)" most of all. One of my all time favorite songs. This collects everything recorded by the one hit wonder, Count Five: Love this album, more consistent than the Prunes. This is is the mail from Ebay. Too many covers for my tastes (Do I really need to have "Taxman", when it was already done to perfection by the Beatles?) But the originals are worth it.

Feist, "The Reminder"Beautiful, beautiful music. I have such a love for this woman's voice. I really can't tell if it's an improvement over her last (also excellent) album, but I think it might be. I'd seriously recommend just hopping on here and trying her out. "My Moon, My Man" and "1, 2, 3, 4" are highly recommended. Laura Veirs, "Saltbreakers"Speaking of women I adore, I'm very close to being head-over-heels for Laura. She's a geologist who makes the most beautiful, folky acoustic music and writes the most intelligent, poetic lyrics... all very ethereal. I honestly think her last two albums are a little better, but this one still has plenty of amazing moments. Again, go here and look up "Pink Light" and "Cast A Hook," if you give a flip. [Not hotlinked, FYI.]

Yes. That's right. And it's everything I thought it would be. Check it out. You won't regret it. Oh my...really? That looks like something I need to check out. I bought Arcade Fire's new record, Neon Bible. I liked Funeral a lot more. I really want to see them live, if they ever tour anywhere near me.

I like it better than anything Webber ever spit out, anyway. One should love a musical with songs such as "What The F**k Was That?", "Ode To An Accidental Stabbing", and "All The Men In My Life Keep Getting Killed By Candarian Demons".
