The Violent Years (would you expect any thing else from me?) Great host segments, awesome short, and a hilarious movie with top-notch riffing throughout.

San Fransisco International. Who can deny the appeal of Tab Hunter? And the mushy nosewheel of course.

For a Joel episode Id go with Daddy-O. Sandra Giles,Great riffing, Pants-Up Song, Sandra Giles. For a Mike episode I'd say Danger! Death Ray!!. I laughed so hard the last time I saw this one..."watermelon man"

I'll go with It Conquered the World. Hilarious episode, funny short, top notch riffing throughout. It's simply a Joel classic. A couple of Sandy Frank eps like Gamera or Gamera vs Guiron would be great too, because they're so damn funny. But I doubt that'll ever happen.

For me, it's a toss-up between the previously mentioned Santa Claus and Sinbad. Speaking of Sinbad, I'd give an organ to see a Shout! Release of all four Russo-Finnish(-ish) films on the same set.
Puma Man is up there, too.

I'm gonna go with "Outlaw."
Reasons: 1. Instantly accessible, especially to new fans. The movie itself is not too old and worn out, and is quite watchable, despite its overwhelming cheesiness. The "sword and sandals" genre is a popular one, and this is a great example, especially representative of the early 80's revival of the genre. The movie has decent production values (for an MST3K movie) and plenty of eye candy, along with loads of riffable costumes.
2. Great host segments. The Invention Exchanges were winding down, but they still came up with some great skits, especially Frank and Dr. F's "Really Real Time Machine." And the "Breastica-boocbical" song is among the series' very best.
3. Great riffing. As mentioned, the movie itself is a cornucopia of riffability. From Jack Palance's obvious embarassment to the instantly hateable Watney Smith, and a truly great femme fatale, along with the aforementioned ridiculous costumes, this movie has Mike & the 'bots firing on all cylinders.
4. Built-in drinking game! Servo mentions it as a riff, but seriously, it works! Granted, for the scene when Cabot (drink) arrives in Corroba, you might as well just start chugging non-stop, but the rest of the time, it's a great way to engage new fans, or have a new kind of fun with a beloved episode.
5. Peabody Award! (yeah yeah, so none of us had ever heard of it until the show won it, but still...it's quite prestigious, from what I understand, and MST3K is one of only 3 shows that weren't World War II documentaries to win it.

For me, I’d say 'Devil Doll' easily, with 'Puma Man' a close second.
If I had to pick a Joel, I second either 'It Conquered the World' (a science fiction classic in its own goofy right) or 'Daddy-O' (just for Hike Up Your Pants).
In fact, that would be a pretty awesome four episode boxed-set.

Time of the Apes is great. I mean the riffs during the breakfast scene are some of the best they ever did.

Wow, everyone seems to love Time of the Apes. I watched it a few years ago and remember laughing maybe twice in the entire episode. I simply did not like it. Maybe it's time to give it another chance. I've seen most of the Sandy Frank episodes and just don't like them.
I would have to say Village of the Giants. The riffing is really funny and the movie isn't grotesquely terrible, and it has a lot of eye candy. My friends, who had never seen the show, watched this episode with me and really liked it. A very underrated episode.
Runner up: Riding with Death

I'm surprised by the results so far. I'd have thought that Final Sacrifice would dominate this thread.
I'm going to go with Girls Town (obviously). But any of the Russo-Finnish eps are worthy. Especially "The Day the Earth Froze" and "Jack Frost".

Radar Secret Service. Hands-down. Hey, I can't help it if I liked it.
It plods so much, and there's NOTHING recognizable going on, it just staggers from one guy in a suit with a rumpled hat to another, with humongous cars in between. Then, throw in a heelicopter areoplane, and it's ready for awesome.
I don't think a movie has to be watchable for it to be an amazing MST experience. In fact, I think the less watchable it is, the better it is for an experiment. Hence, I love Starfighters, Wild World of Batwoman, Monster-a-Go-Go, and many of the other confusing-ass, painful episodes.

I'd go with The Incredible Melting Man. The riffing on it is just A+ stuff.

I'm surprised by the results so far. I'd have thought that Final Sacrifice would dominate this thread. I saw this thread and right off Final Sacrifice was my pick. So here's one more towards what I hope will be it's eventual domination! (insert Kalgon laugh HA HA HA HA HA!) Rowsdower will crush all comers! Larry Csonka power! Zap and Troy: The Legendary Journeys! The 'Red Green' varmit guy! Sorry, I got a little carried away there. Im also very fond of Riding With Death so it's a tough call between those two for me. Can't go wrong with either of them though.

I have to go with Earth Vs. The Spider.
Good, old-fashioned black and white Bert I. Gordon goodness. Teens, giant mutated monsters, scientists, Alan Hale Jr. and absolute top shelf riffing. And dynamite. There's dynamite, too. Monster movie basics mixed with MST3K basics. With the solid riffing are some good host segments, including the KISS knockoff band.
One of the best unreleased episodes for my money.
