Cool - It suspect Joss packed in about 3 years of plotlines, into one season because of his bad experience with Fox in the past. This season was rollercoaster and I don't think a 13 ep renewal will change that.
Glad to read this. The last 2 eps were nail bitters and hooked me in for more.

Ms. Dushku has had positive Tweets about it, between her aid trip to Africa. The show is constantly on the update list, and I know Fox actually pays attention to it.
I just thank goodness for Hulu.

Well it's back. I thought the first episode went very smoothly, it wasn't an explosive premire, but the story was interesting enough and the character interplay was strong.

Me and my girlfriend caught up with this show when it hit DVD. We both greatly enjoyed it. Though, I will say I was weirded out by the DVD premiered season finale, though my girl loved it.
Well...it did have Zach Ward in it.
We were right there for the season premiere, hoping our ratings will contribute to a healthy run for a non-Buffy related Joss Whedon series. We both thought the premiere was solid, and can't wait til friday. The clip of this weeks episode looks crazy!

Well, the show been canceled. There goes the only show on network tv I ever ever watch except for sports.
Quality never lasts on the networks anymore. Crap is king. The netwoks seem to be on a path where they're fighting for the largest share of smaller and smaller pie. The problem with having only mediocure and bad show is that there is nothing to draw in the people who aren't already fans of your network. When your steadily losing customers and can't get new ones, your in trouble. A few quality shows with poor rating can help draw in new fans for your mediocure shows.

No great loss as far as I'm concerned. It was an interesting idea for a show but they never quite pulled it off. Fringe, Flashforward, V, and even Stargate Universe are all better acted and executed shows if you're looking for a new sci-fi fix.

Fringe, Flashforward, V, and even Stargate Universe are all better acted and executed shows if you're looking for a new sci-fi fix. The problem with Dollhouse is that it is subtle. You've got to watch a bunch of eps to get into it. Even then, its an aquired taste. It's characters are not all good or all bad. They are all flawed. Every show that I've tried to watch on network tv are so dumbed down, I'm bored after an episode or two. The only shows I watched were on Showtime and HBO but when my cable provider told me I had to suscribe to 100 more channels of crap for the right to watch the two channels that actually had the occasional intellegent show, I let them cancel them. Dollhouse has the same problem as most quality shows. Most people won't get it. I don't have any problem with people not liking the show, its the nature of quality. Mediocrity has a much wider audience. Most people don't get Mst3k. I've heard people complaining because they didn't get every single joke. The only way to get everyone to get every joke is to dumb it down. I loved the fact that I didn't get a lot of the jokes until the second or third time I saw an ep and never got some of them. I love watching with a group and being the only one to get an obscure joke. A lot of people hate that. Fringe is a clone of the X-files and I never liked the X files. V and Flashforward are network shows and if they follow to form, they'll be canceled if they aren't dumbed down enough so any brain dead idiot can follow them. I've seen about 10 or 20 Stargate episodes and never got into it, but I'll admit it is a decent show.

Well, Lost is a sci-fi/fantasy network show. Many love it or hate it, but after five seasons I don't think anyone can accuse it of being dumbed down.

I never watched Lost for more than about 15 minutes or so, so I can't say. I really don't like mysteries. It may be one of the very few exceptions to the trend. The fact that most people hate it or love it makes it more likely that it isn't dumbed down. Crappy show are more like, a few people like them, a few people hate them and a lot of people think there ok and they watch them because there marginally better than the competition.
I like Dollhouse because it tried to ask big questions as a subtext. It didn't do it as well as I'd like but it did it better than any other show I've seen recently. I also liked that the characters were very flawed but human and they grew through the course of the show. A lot of show last 5 years and all of the characters are essentially the same from the beginning of the show to the end. The make the same stupid mistakes over and over again. Its ok in a comedy but I hate it in a drama.

Are they going to at least air the rest of the season eps? A few weeks back the Network was all smiles and assured fans that while ratings were low, the remaining shows would air.
