I wanted the Dolphins to go to the Super Bowl, but now I'll change my choice for the Chargers vs. the Cardinals.

So how did my Lions do this weekend? Oh yeah...that's right. They suck so their sitting at home watching on TV. Well at least I can watch my Wolverines in a great bowl game...oh, wait. They suck too. At least its a new year. I would say things can't get worse, but never say never.

The Red Wings are pretty good.

There is that. And the Pistons are decent (although a little inconsistent).

^I focused on the Cavaliers this season and didn't give two shits about the Steamers Football Club after their 2nd Loss.

I'm rooting for my old home town Titans. I met some very wonderful, classy fans while I lived there and I'm happy for them. I can picture their wide smiles should they finally win it all. The Ravens are going to be tough, that defense is pretty potent. Good luck Nashville.

Hopefully anyway, Panthers are my team. I'm not sure how the eagles will do.. we shall see. The Cards are a tough team to figure out right now. They were completely out matched by the Falcons last week and they went out there and shut down one of the best running games going. Now, they have the Panthers. The Panthers are cut from a very similar mold on offense. The run is their primary attack. The only big differences I see in the offenses are that Jake Delhomme is much more experienced than Matt Ryan and Steve Smith is a much stronger receiver than Roddy White. So if the Cards recapture last week's magic and shut down the run they might be able to roll off another win. Where I think the Panthers need to worry is their pass defense. The Panthers pass defense leaves a lot to be desired. The Cards have three huge threats at receiver and they have a QB that IMO deserved the MVP award this year. I think the Panthers will probably win this game but I think the Cards are a very dangerous team for them.

I agree, MadDog.
Can the Panthers stop the pass or can the Cardinals stop the run? The answer to that question will probably determine the winner.
I don't have picks, but I have preferences. I'm sick of the NFC East. So whoever wins the Panthers-Cardinals game is my choice to come out of the NFC. And I'm totally pulling for the Titans (my second favorite team) to make it out the AFC.
In fact, a Titans-Panthers Super Bowl would be the worst possible matchup for ratings and hype, but it would be my preference.

Honestly. I think the Cards have a better chance of shutting down the run. If Edge runs like he did last week it'll really open up their dangerous passing game. All it takes is 2 or 3 blown covers for the Cards to start putting some big pts. up.
But history is against the Cardinals in general. A 9-7 team hasn't made the Super Bowl since the 1979 Rams. And the Cards are just not that good of a team to begin with. They're one dimensional on offense and mediocre on defense. They benefited from the West sucking.

Not looking too god for the Panthers at half. They can come back but I'd hate to put money on it.

I'm surprised at how bad the Panthers are playing. Delhomme is making some bad decisions.

It's kind of scary that I didn't think the Cards would win but my devil's advocate position came true.
I wonder if this will be it for Delhomme in Carolina. 4 INTs against a 9-7 team in the playoffs. That's pretty bad for anyone.

At least my Eagles advanced. Defense played great. Offense ended up doing just enough to win.
