Woo hoo! With USC going down, that's one less team that stands between my Crimson Tide and our rightful spot at #1! Now, if TCU can take down Oklahoma and we can beat Georgia, I think they gotta move us to the top 3 at least!
Roll Tide!

SEC is so strong these days it's ridiculous. Should be a great set of games this weekend, Georgia and Alabama being the featured one.

So, what happened? Am I the only one around here who's actually watching college ball this year? Come on folks, I know with this many No Fun League fans around here there's gotta be some NCAA fans! And there's some great games this weekend! My #8 Crimson Tide vs. #3 Georgia. TCU vs Oklahoma. Servo Ahem... that would be #24 TCU vs. #2 Oklahoma (and I think they should be #1 now by default). I will personally be at the OU/TCU game. I have never been to an OU game before, and I think I will have a lot of fun!

I think Oklahoma should be #1 as well. If Alabama beats Georgia, they should be in the top 3. The SEC is probably the toughest strongest conference. And while everyone is saying that USC blew their bid for the national championship by losing last night, I personally think that the BCS polls shouldn't even come out until October so that you could get a real feel for the teams. I mean Georgia starting the season at #1? Nothing against Georgia, but what did they do to deserve that ranking? Why not LSU #1 since they won the title last year? Sorry, I'll get off the soap box now.

Yup, the Tide beat down the number three team in the land, at their place, during their stupid blackout gimmick, 41-30. That seems close, but, considering they got two garbage TD's against our second and third string D, it wasn't really that close, lol.
But, Roll Tide!

Well TomServo69 your Alabama Crimson Tide are now ranked #2 behind Oklahoma after their very impressive win against Georgia between the hedges no less. So much for the pundits saying that Alabama was a year or two away. They looked really good. Also after my Oregon State Beavers beat USC, the Toe-Jams fell to #9

Well, we're just playing solid, balanced football. We'll take our 24 hours to celebrate and start prepping for Kentucky who comes to our place with a 4-0 record. I still just think it's cool that we haven't trailed for a second this year and have only been tied for 26 minutes. We also haven't been scored on in the first quarter all year. We've still got a ways to go though, a big road game at LSU in November and Auburn coming to town after that. But, I've got a feeling this team has what it takes.
Roll Tide!

I mean Georgia starting the season at #1? Nothing against Georgia, but what did they do to deserve that ranking? Why not LSU #1 since they won the title last year? Sorry, I'll get off the soap box now. Moreover, what exactly has Ohio State done to earn their #14 ranking? They blew out Youngstown State, had trouble with Ohio, got their butts kicked by USC, and now they beat Minnesota. There are more teams deserving of that high a ranking. What does everyone think about a non-BCS team making the National Championship game? If the best SEC team trips up and loses twice and BYU goes undefeated (through the strong Mountain West), you could make the argument that BYU deserves it more than a one-loss team from the Big 10, Pac-10, Big East, or ACC. Alabama's meteoric rise from unranked to #2 in a month is truly something to behold. They have a lot ahead of them, though. They might trip up and lose, but that wouldn't necessarily put them out of the picture. Unless the best teams from the SEC and Big XII lose twice, you can pretty much put USC out of the title picture. Moreover, Oregon State gave everyone in the Pac-10 a blueprint for how to beat USC. The way they were playing defense was working like a charm against the Trojans. Believe me, more teams will start doing that to USC and they might even lose again.

I believe the only non-BCS team that they'd put in the NC game would be BYU, just because they've won it in the past 30 years. But, every major team in the Big 12 and SEC losing twice this year is a long shot to say the least. Sure, upsets and surprises happen, but, I just don't see it happening this year. So, here's hoping my Tide just runs the table and wins the NC, then, we won't have to worry about anything, lol. Roll Tide!

Man, we barely snuck past Kentucky today, but, a win's a win I suppose. Plus, they were undefeated and have one of the best defenses in the nation statistically. But, that's 6 games under our belt, got a week off to check some of our mistakes and rest up some banged up players before Ole Miss comes to Tuscaloosa on the 18th. I'll just hope they don't drop us because the game ended up being close. If they don't, we have a good shot at moving to number 1 and not even playing a game next weekend if Texas beats Oklahoma.
So, how did everyone else's teams do this week?
Sitting high at number 2.......................
Roll Tide!

How about Vanderbilt coming from behind to beat a tough Auburn team? I really am cheering for the Commodores this season. I would love to see them make the SEC Championship Game, and possibly even win it!

And, if we get past LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Arrbarn, that might happen. Just maybe........... Servo

Down goes Oklahoma! Now, if Missouri and LSU would just lose this evening, I don't see how they could not make the Crimson Tide #1!
Bye weeks are awesome sometimes.
