And they'll be avaliable on amazon.com in July! Sorry, June. That's OK, Ward.

I bought NOTLD from Best Buy (even though I already "rolled my own" when the Trax came out). The DVD looks and sounds good.
Unfortunately there appears to be an authoring issue, at least with my copy. There's a great Rifftones song on the main menu, and if you listen to it all the way through, instead of the menu looping the disc just stops. On a set top player you can press play and the disc will reload (back at the copyright warning). On a PC, i had a lot of trouble getting it to play again at all once it had stopped at the end of the menu. It became lost in some navigational netherworld.
Again, it might just be this copy.

The second volume of shorts is available! Some great shorts on V2: 1) One Got Fat 2) Lunchroom Manners 3) Each Child is Different 4) Why Won't Cathy Eat Breakfast/Petaluma Chicken 5) Act Your Age 6) Safety: Harm Hides at Home 7) Coffee House Rendezvous 8) Are You Popular? 9) Good Health Practices Unfortunately (in my opinion), in order to keep the cost down and because of a forum poll they didn't do a bonus short with the 3-d Mike, Kevin, and Bill. They did include 9 shorts though, just like with Volume 1. I'm thinking they put One Got Fat first to terrify the unsuspecting. Here's groupie's old warning. i feel it is my civic duty to warn as many people as possible about the abomination that is One Got Fat. i thought this would be offensive enough - probably about some poor fat kid ostracized by his friends and society for being overweight. I WISH! WHAT THE HELL WAS THIS!?! monkey children dying, one by one on bicycles for their carelessness? granted, i'm relieved each time one of them bites the dust, but dear god! their deaths are not nearly as terrifying - that's right, i said terrifying - as those bizarre monkey masks. i never thought i could admire mike, kevin and bill more than i do now for surviving that. either that or i resent them a little for sharing this monstrosity with us. be thee warned!

Mine too. I have a 5-disc changer and immediately after the song the disc shuts off and the disc player actually pulls it out and loads the next disc.

Weird... how come this is the first time we've heard of this? I'll bring it up but I'm not sure if there's much we can do about it. Guess you'll just have to buy the mp3 for 99 cents...

Guess you'll just have to buy the mp3 for 99 cents... The song was a disappointment, especially compared to the first four, so my only issue is that I need to remember to play the disc right away, then stop it till I'm ready. No biggie.

Here's a stupid question for those of you who may have ordered the following... Is the release date June 16 for Shorts Vol. 2, Plan 9, Carnival of Souls, or are they available now? They are listed for release on "June 16th" on Amazon... but I would rather order them from Rifftrax directly, especially if they are shipping now. Nothing on the Rifftrax page indicates if it is pre-order or not, so it is a little confusing. Thanks

They're already available at Rifftrax.com. Places like deepdiscount and amazon won't have them until June 16th.

I just found Living Dead at Best Buy for $7. I hope it's something special, I haven't listened to a RiffTrax since Transformers due to a combination of money problems, tiring of the blockbusters, and a growing fondness of Cinematic Titanic.
Let it be noted that this is the fourth time I've bought this movie (one of which was for Mike's previous commentary). I'm lucky that I think it's fantastic.
I think I even introduced one of the employees to RiffTrax, too. I asked him if they had anything else other than NOTLD, and he checked, said no, and then stated "That's the guy from MST3K! What the hell is this?" I then tried to explain RiffTrax to him, I don't think he quite understood though because I told him they did Indiana Jones and he ran to the Indy DVDs to see if they had it there. Oh well. I told him to log on to rifftrax.com, so his fate is in his own hands.
