Thought I'd pick this up since I got Road Warrior. Wow, what a difference an audio track can make. This is the first time I've seen this without the horrid American dubs and it makes the movie sooo, so much better when you can hear the real voices and accents. Mel was only 21, what a baby face. Good commentray and other extras. Well worth the purchase. Now - should I get Beyond Thunderdome too?

I couldn't find this anywhere to rent, so I bought it online for $8. The picture isn't bad, a little grain. The extras are non existent - I guess the British DVD version has a commentary and a making of feature. Which takes me to one of a few complaints about the blu format - why don't they port over old extras that they already have on DVD? You got all this room on Blu and they waste it? Still, a great movie - it really chokes me up - glad I was able to revisit it after so many years. Yup, it still stands as my favorite Carpenter film (and I'd rather watch it, than ET)

^well I can't agree with you on that point, I not only prefer the Nolan films, but most of the animated Batflicks to this one (which drags terribly in spots). Still it brings back many fond memories - Jack is one of my favorite actors and he cracks me up big time - and the disc is packed with great extras.

Terrence Malick's "Days of Heaven." Jesus, this is a gorgeous-looking film.
(I can see why Malick was upset he didn't get to cast a young John Travolta for the lead. He would have been perfect.)

A fantastic Japanese animated show about the apocalypse....Sort of.
Pineapple Express
Was honestly surprised how much I laughed at this stoner comedy.
