Okay, this guy wasn't a character in any movie, but he was used as a reference in many episodes....but based on this Onion AV Club Interview, the BIGGEST JERK has got to be Gallagher: www.avclub.com/articles/gallagher,36622/ ha! that's priceless. although to tell you the truth, as someone who used to be in a gigging band, i used to kinda resent it when we worked really hard on a set to make it the best we could possibly make it, and then we'd play to a bunch of drunks screaming for "freebird" and dancing to amplifier feedback. that said, that dude's a jerk. and he's totally wrong as to what a "brown round" is, which is doubly embarrassing because i can't imagine a more obvious term than "brown round." (sorry for the crudity. blame gallagher, not me.) THAT said, if we're doing six-degree-of-separation between jerks and mst3k, has there ever been any sort of billy bob thornton reference on mst3k of any kind? because if so, then billy bob gets my vote. i was just taking a trip down memory lane with this classy incident from last april. good times. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJWS6qyy7bw

I was watching an episode recently where they referenced "Mustard and french-fried potatoes" a'la the Sling Blade guy, but am blanking as to which episode it was. Seems like it was either DEVIL DOLL or RIDING WITH DEATH...
But yeah, Billy Bob's an ass.

This is one of the "comment entries" posted as a response to the Gallagher interview (which is pretty funny, in a wrong kind of way)... I'm sure someone from this forum did it, too. Tom Servo 29 Dec. 2009 | 10:02 AM CST Ooooooooooooh, Gallagher is my absolute all-time favorite! Oh, paying money to have watermelon sprayed all over you? Oh, give me more of that. Oversized props mixed with undersized talent? Oooooh, put me in the front row. Excuse me, Mr. Shopkeeper? Can I trade in my volume of Annotated Shakespeare for a tape of "Melon Crazy"? Oh, please, may I? Ooooooooooooooooh! "

I throw in another vote for Sidehackers JC. Total DB. I throw in a first vote for captain Polk. Not your blunt jerk, but he lies about being brave in the war and then chickens out when old war buddies come- and his awful orange pants- at least he got what was coming to him;)

Here's a good candidate: the dark-haired "scientist" in "King Dinosaur" who keeps slamming the women onto the ground every chance he gets. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the female actors in that flick hated his guts -- the shoving around just seems excessive. ah yes, along that vein, was it rocketship X-M where it was the poor solitary female scientist in a ship pretty much full of jerks? from the imdb site oi vey and also but if i had to pick one consummate jerk from a movie that's full of them, i'm gonna have to go with that dude who WILL JUST NOT SHUT THE $)$&^@ UP ABOUT TEXAS.

Though & haven't seen the "Sidehackers" episode proper, JC IMHO is Satan incarnate!....No, more like Satan's poop! No legit mainstream Satanist would dig JC's actions!

After marrying....Colonel Briteis locks her jerkoff husband outside....sans spacesuit..... BRITEIS: "Tee-Hee! I'm gonna curl up in my pink bathrobe & Ben & Jerry's and watch '9 to 5', 'Tomb Raider', 'Wildcats' & 'Xena' episodes! GIRLPOWER!" ;D THE GUY: (wheezes, freezes & dies....'BBBLLAAUUGHH.....gurgle')

Rick, the singer from Pod People. Watching that episode for the first time, I just assumed that he was the quintessential "Jerk" character in a horror movie who is going to die painfully, and I waited the entire movie for him to be killed by Trumpy. Then the movie ended and I realized that he was supposed to be the HERO. I couldn't believe it. I somehow overlooked it in my previous post, but that character is the total epitome of jerk hero in that he was such a creep that it's the only instance in a MSTed movie where I was unaware that the protagonist was the protagonist.

^^ Oh my God, yes. That was so funny. He was a jerk for absolutely no reason whatsoever. He just tears apart that perfectly pleasant delivery boy. I get almost as big a kick out of that character as Mike seems to.
