I had the good fortune to run into J. Elvis Weinstein today. Did my typical yammering and stammering fanboy thing for a bit (not long), and finally asked him about when we would get more CT DVDs. He said they were looking into an alternative way of distributing them, so I got the impression the EZ Takes thing might not be their preferred mode of distribution. That's about all I got out of him on the DVD front, so it sounded like we've still got a wait ahead of us.
The good news was that he said there may be some tour dates coming up in the L.A. area soon, so that's cool. (For me.)
Seemed like a very nice guy. (But I still felt like a fanboy.)

I was just thinking about them - an watched Alien Factor again (for some reason I stuck to the very end... first time I've seen and heard Josh say, "C'nematic T'tanic now in floating chrome" (or sumthin like that) Thanks for the info - hope they get this figured out soon. And I never know what to say to them, I always worry I'm turning into Chris Farley interviewing Paul McCartney, "God! Dang! That was so stupid, God!" I say to myself as I pull at my hair.

I'm always excited to meet someone I'm a fan of, but when it comes down to it I have to keep myself in check to not just do the Chris Farley thing. Luckily this was at work, so I had to be fairly professional about it. . .therefore I think the gushing was kept to a minimum. I tweeted him later to tell him I enjoyed meeting him, and he actually tweeted back. That was cool. :-)

Spoke with Trace on the phone once for about five minutes and went on about what a fan I was. Felt embarrassed the very second I started speaking. Not an easy thing.

Ha ha, I seem to be the extreme opposite to you guys. Instead of not knowing when to stop, I can't seem to force myself to get started. When Sky and I were at the CT show and standing there with RAD and Mary Jo, I just couldn't bear to say a word to her. I just clammed up the entire time, after having zero trouble running my mouth to RAD earlier. I only managed a smile and a polite nod as we parted, and as always, regretted it later.
I suppose I'd have to get trapped on the phone with 'em like Sky was, and then maybe I'd finally say something for once. I guess the whole time I'm there I'm always thinking about how much they have to deal with fan-blabbering and whatnot, so I subconsciously try to "balance" it out or something by not engaging them at all.
Again, much to my regret later on.
