Heh, when i first read the thread title, I thought it was about appreciating a band called Nails on a Chalkboard. But anyway, the musicians I can't stand are:
Bob Dylan-He always sounded stoned or drunk to me John Lennon-His solo efforts have me checking my watch about two seconds into the song, his voice makes me sleepy. Madonna-Cannot stand her singing, she always sounds snotty to me Miley Cyrus-Her dad was okay at what he did but she stinks. Morissey- Cannot stand his singing.

I despise most modern music. My taste lays back in the 60's-80's music.
Particularly: -KISS (The only song they live on is "Rock N' Roll All Night") -Justin Bieber (call him an artist "loosely") -Lil Wayne (what rhymes with everything-obviously the word "gentleman") -PSY (I don't understand the hype about them and their Gangam/Gundam style)

Bruno Mars and the-already-mentioned Maroon 5. Ack!
Robert Plant and Allison Krause (sp?) doing "Please Read the Letter that I Wrote" - yes, someone PLEASE read it so they'll SHUT UP!

Oh, and Macy Gray. AAAAaaaaaAAAHHH!! Remember that song she did that went like "try to said goodbye and I choke, try to walkaway and I stumble" ? That was HORRENDOUS. That voice she sings in fits the subject description of this thread perfectly. I wonder what happened to her, hopefully nothing good lol.

I just wonder who the genius was who heard her voice and said, "You're the next thing! Here's a contract!"

I've been watching a lot of the baseball playoffs, and seeing the same 5 commercials over and over is killing me. If I hear "I was boooorn free" one more time, I swear to Chevrolet I'm gonna put a hole in the drywall. I suppose that goes for any cheap, shallow, Nashville pabulum that passes for "country" nowadays.
Over the years, I've developed a hyper-sensitivity to lots of overplayed classic rock. Stevie Nicks and Debbie Harry get immediate mutes from me. Ditto the Doors and Eagles.

If we're talking about nasty, evil, horrible music, i would have to put forth brokeNCYDE. I listen to harsh noise rock and i find them utterly repulsive.

I particularly hated the "Remember Me For Centuries" music during the NCAA football playoffs... Just jab an icepick in the retina. Being a long time fan of Country Music I must say I just HATE the new so called country acts these days. Florida-Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Chase Rice, etc.. Irony is when I was a young teenager, I love the Outlaw Country Movement of Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Tanya Tucker and Johnny Paycheck. Back then the old folks were telling me that was not country.. Oh well you young kids with your fax machines, hula-hoops, and rap music. Why don't you just Get Off My Lawn.. Time For Go To Bed..
