A friend of mine is on girl-group lists on Yahoo, etc. and he was sent this yesterday:
"I just received a lovely, off-list message from Carol Kamenis, the Carol Kay who sang "Three Stars" and "Shook Out Of Shape". She told me the Carol Kay who sang "This Time You're Wrong" on Wright-Sound is not her, which is sort of what I suspected. She also told me the film in which she sang "Shook Out Of Shape" was called "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies". Now, that has to be a cult movie! At least we're making slow progress; we' ve ruled out Carol Kaye AND Carol Kamenis as the vocalist on "This Time You're Wrong" ... Hasse Huss"
Now we know.
;D
EDIT:
And for those of you who drank to forget the song, here it is:
(There is no video, just the audio.)

In fact, she sings the hell out of that song, doesn't she? Not bad.

I always thought it was "ship out of shape" as in not being ship shape.

I thought it was "Chick out of Shape," as in, y' know, what happens after you get married.
