Oh it's true!
In the 1990's, when I was a wee lad, I got to watch Looney Tunes on TV all the time. On Nickelodeon, ABC's Saturday mornings, and (this was the most important) Cartoon Network. I'm not sure what corporate politics led to the removal of Bugs and Daffy's work from TV, but they vanished in the early half of this decade. You had to make due with the occassional airing of those 1970's fix-up movies ("The Bugs Bunny, Road Runner Movie" and the like) on HBO family and the occassional Chuck Jones retrospective on TCM.
But now the Looney Tunes have inexplicably returned to Cartoon Network. There is a 6 hour marathon tomorrow (Sunday) and then a morning to noonish regular time slot for the weekdays. Set your DVRs!

It's about time! The world just isn't right without Bugs on tv. I bought two of the Looney Tunes Spotlight Collection DVDs about a year ago 'cause I missed Bugs and Daffy and all, but I only watched about half a disc. It's just not the same when they're not on tv.
Good news!

I love Looney Tunes. I used to watch 'em on my parents Laserdisc. One of the first cartoons I ever watched.

And there was much rejoicing.

Those go on sale like crazy at Amazon, I don't know if you've noticed that. It's happened at least four times in the last 2 years that they'll go like, 60% off. Put them in your shopping cart and just wait. *Or not. I just looked and they're on sale right now. Up to 64% off. But if you don't have the dough right now, like I said, they're doing this sale repeatedly. I've been tempted many times.

This is terrific news. I've loved Looney Tunes since I was a toddler. Now that I'm an adult, I love to watch the cartoons in order to catch all the references that I didn't understand when I was little. I hope Cartoon Network will show some of the non-Bugs stuff, such as "I Love To Singa," which is one of my favorites.

I have a couple volumes and they're great, but not like seeing them on television. Hopefully they run them uncut. It's not the same if I can't see Daffy get his beak blown off by Elmer Fudd seven times in a single cartoon.

I'd be happier if the old Disney shorts returned to television, but the Looney Tunes are fine by me. I likes me some Daffy and Roadrunner.

This is great news kids today don't know what they're missing.
And I would like to see the old Disney cartoons return as well.

Whoa, I never saw that proto-Speedy Gonzales toon before. He has such a different design.

like i told calli, today i have felt like i've been transported back to 1977. stretched out on the floor, staring at every cartoon i knew by heart but watched over and over anyway. it's been awesome.

It still is awesome here on the west coast. I just saw a pen full of hens swoon, "Oooh, Fraaaaaanky!" then pass out. That's the pinnacle of entertainment right there.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the listing on Cartoon Network! All I did today was watch the Looney Tunes marathon. I'm very happy they put them back on.
