So according to the ACEG, a "State Park" Joke is when you point out something on-screen and call it exactly what it is (i.e. saying "it's a state park!" when what is being shown is, indeed, a state park.) Essentially, a State Park Joke is not a joke at all.
I don't think there are tons of examples of these in MST3K, but they were used now and then. What are some of your favorites?
One of mine is in THE UNEARTHLY, when Tor Johnson appears for the first time and Servo observes matter-of-factly "Hey, it's Tor Johnson!"

From The Crawling Eye: "He's stabbing him with a letter opener!"
Not really a joke, since that's exactly what he's doing!

At the moment, the only thing I can remember that qualifies according to the definition in this thread is Crow's observation in 521 Santa Claus. "It's an oscillating fan with an ear attached. Period." is exactly what is shown on screen when Crow says it.

"his face is gone" from "monster a go-go." if you look, yeah, his face is pretty much gone.

The early episodes had a lot of "Hey, (actor's name) isn't that the guy from (other movie/show actor was in)?" Not really jokes at all, and I'm glad they didn't do those as much in the later years.

Mike in Space Mutiny:
"Hey! She's dead! She died..."
After Lt. Lamont returns from the dead. Cracks me up every time.

Noticed one in the Progress Island USA short:
NARRATOR: "Puerto Rico offers something for everyone...a fun-filled lifestyle, whatever your pleasure!"
MIKE: "Like walking and holding a tennis racket." (Which is precisely what the people are doing in that shot.)

I wouldn't call that a state park joke. That line is a joke because it's pointing out that the image on screen is not as exciting as the narrating is making it out to be. A state park joke would've been more like Mike saying "That guy is holding a tennis racket."

Yeah, I noticed this too, that they "fail" at this rule fairly often. Because they aren't very funny riffs, I don't remember them.
However, I do like riffs where they point out the truth of something that's right there in front of you, but they do it much more cleverly than I could. E.g, in She-Creature.
Barker: She's a carnival follower, blah blah blah. Whenever we came into a town, she was there waiting for her.
?Crow: So she's a carnival preceder.
Which is obvious the case! But it's not a state park joke.

How about in Time Chasers when Crow says (appoximately) 'Look, it's a com-put-er'. It is indeed a computer, but the joke is in the delivery. Is this a state park joke?

No, it's a joke on how futuristic having a computer in the cockpit seemed, at the time the movie was made. So maybe MY comment on your comment, is like a state park joke now.

Found one in "The Human Duplicators" just now - near the end, when all the duplicates start brawling, Servo riffs "Wait a minute, they're fighting each other now!" when that's exactly what's happening. But the way he says it makes it sound like he thought it wasn't supposed to look like that's what was happening...I think.

I can't think of "State Park Jokes" offhand but I do notice a lot of "National Forest Jokes" which are not "State Park Jokes" (though both trope-names sound related). Here's a couple from THE FINAL SACRIFICE: "It's The Anne Murray National Forest" AND "The Love Canal State Forest". Anyone notice these a lot?
