Don't know when this airs in the States, but my wife and I watched the new series opener Saturday night. I'm pleased to say it's a good one. Matt Smith is off to an amazing start as the Doctor.
So much better than the lame "End of Time" Christmas specials.

Good to hear! I just saw Matt Smith on Jonathan Ross on BBC America and he made a nice impression on me. I'm really looking forward to the new one! It's on April 17th here.

I'll be waiting for BBC America's airing - am trying to avoid spoilers but the near universal praise is comforting!

I enjoyed the first two eps a lot. The new one last night, the one with the Daleks, is probably the weakest imo. Still Steven Moffat didn't write that one and looking forward to seeing his Weeping Angels/River Song story the next couple weeks.

The Eleventh Hour aired last night on BBC America and I thought it was absolutely terrific - a terrific start to the new Doctor and companion, the new season, and the new era of the show in general!

I think I caught a bit of it last night, with the guy and his dog, but the guy was doing all the barking?

^The alien shapshifter would take the form of the unconcious victim's mental self-image. If the person imagined themself walking a dog it'd take the form of both - but it couldn't quite get straight which voice went where.

Was pleased to read that Katy Manning's Jo Grant will be returning to the world of Doctor Who via "The Sarah Jane Adventures." New Doctor Matt Smith will appear in the same story. Looking forward to seeing this. The old Jon Pertwee/Katy Manning stories are some of my all-time faves and Katy's departure in "Green Death" was one of the saddest moments in the series' history.

YES!! The "New" Doctor Who is FAB-U-LOUS!!
Aside from the knockout companion, I also dig the new opening credits and the new logo. The music is a little more toned-down, and reminiscent of the early credits.
