Okay, we all know it's not real. We've known that long before Vince McMahon admitted it. But that's beside the point.
We fans get caught up in the storylines. We enjoy a well done match, groan when a match sucks, wince when we hear a bad promo or put up with a dumb character. We watch whatever the WWE gives us for better or worse, maybe TNA, perhaps even indy and Japanese and lucha libre companies. We cheer the faces, boo the heels, and feel the loss when a wrestler, either an elderly legend or a younger star with a problem, leaves the world.
Come on, I know I'm not the only one with this guilty pleasure. Let's hear from you!
(Mods: Feel free to move this at your judgement since it's not really a sport)

It's not real, but you can't tell me it doesn't hurt to jump off the turnbuckle and land on some guy's knee.
I watched a ton of wrestling in the '80s. And not just the Hulk Hogan/Junkyard Dog/Rowdy Roddy Piper/Superfly Snuka wrestling (which was awesome). I also loved the cable access WCCW league out of Texas, featuring the Von Erichs and the Fabulous Freebirds.
However, I haven't seen more than about 30 seconds of wrestling since 1988.

I'm a wrestling fan. But not of the WWE "Sports Entertainment" stuff. I'm old school from the days where they never broke kayfabe. I was raised on Mid-Atlantic Wrestling and Championship Wrestling from Florida with Gordon Solie. Have hundreds of old school wrestling DVDs. But I do tend to collect things.
I'll watch some TNA now but have completely given up on WWE.

Growing up in the late 70's and early 80's I watched a LOT of wrestling. AWA, which I think was out of Minnesota, had guys like Tito Santana, Andre The Giant, Hulk Hogan. They all went with Vince McMahon in the 80's. Also followed the Von Erichs and Ric Flair, too.
But since the late 80's, I haven't watched much wrestling. I got tired of bad guys and good guys changing sides every day, it seemed, plus I just didn't have as much time to watch TV. I guess I'm old school like Sky and Mr. A

Always had a soft spot for the wrestling since I was a wee boy. Over here we only really got WWF with some regions picking up WCW but that was all. I wish I could've seen ECW when it was on (the real one). I still really do like it actually but gave up on WWE many years ago. I still check Wrestlemania once a year for it just to confirm that it's terrible now. TNA started getting shown and I really enjoyed it at first but since Hogan and his lot have appeared I've become a bit worried it'll go the way of WCW. There's some really good talent in there though, shamefully it may end up going to waste.
Oh and my mate wrestled in Cincinnati for a while a few years back, he met Jake The Snake who was a junkie by that point sadly, and he said that although they know the result and some main points that need to happen the match is mainly improvised and actually hurts quite a lot. Basically there is an art to being a good fake wrestler and performing in a good fake match.

I stopped being a full time fan of the current product around 2007ish (I still watch it from time to time, but not as regularly as I did), but I'm still a huge fan of the old school stuff from the mid 80's to the mid 90's. I actually recently went to a Wrestle Reunion convention in NJ and met some of the big stars of yesteryear.

I went to WrestleReunion in L.A. last year. That was amazing -- being in an elevator with Jimmy Hart, sittiing down to breakfast with Stan Hansen, watching Rob Van Dam cut in line to get a photo with Bret Hart, photo ops with Japanese icons Jushin Liger and The Great Muta, asking Road Warrior Animal if his football star son might ever step into the ring, the Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling Guerilla shows... wow.
The best part: I was at a photo session with Bruno Sammartino and Nick Bockwinkel. Bruno asked me where I was from, I said Las Vegas, and then he turned to Bockwinkel (who also lives here) and said, "You hear that, Nick? He's from Vegas too." Bockwinkel then asked if I'd be attending the Cauliflower Alley Club reunion that April, I knew you had to be a member of the Club to attend, and then he told me about the registration table in the dealers room. So now I'm a proud member of the CAC.
And man, what an amazing experience THAT was....

*I* got to serve Abdullah the Butcher hotdogs.
Let me back up....I was in line to get his autograph, and one of the vendor's walked over to the guardrail where the line was to get Abby his hotdogs. He couldn't get around the guardrail, so he pokes my shoulder and says "Hey kid, give these to Abdullah the Butcher". I kinda just blinked and said ".....Sure! Ok!"

yeah like a lot of you guys I am a fan of the old school stuff, for anyone that might be interested WWE has a monthly on-demand service through a lot of cable companies for about 10 bucks a month
they show a lot of old shows from places like Boston Garden, Maple Leaf Gardens, and Madison Square Garden from the early 80s and a lot of the old tv shows like mid atlantic, wwf primetime and others
I think its called WWE Classics on Demand
there is a lot of good old school stuff on there

Been getting right back into the wrestling of late. Off the back of watching TNA (still not too sure how that's going to pan out but if they start using a guy like AJ Styles properly again it could sort itself out) I've started watching WWE again and it's a lot better than it has been in years. Some good talent and some surprising outcomes have made it interesting to watch again. Looks like TNA maybe forced it to raise the bar a little. Either way enjoying watching it again.
PS The Rock coming back made me way more excited than it should have!

The Rock-Cena-Miz triangle is being really well-played out. The war of words between Rock and Cena has been stellar, and I'm enjoying Miz's frustration at being ignored during all this. It won't make for the best WrestleMania match, but the storyline is working out well.
On the Smackdown side, Alberto del Rio has everything going for him, he just hasn't been in the WWE long enough to become champion yet.
As for TNA, they have so much potential, but they keep shooting themselves in the foot. Dixie Carter and Vince Russo are clueless, Hogan and Bischoff are taking the company for as much as they can, and all the younger talent have trouble making it to TV. Is Desmond Wolfe even still with the company?
