I'm going to speculate that the Gamera bundle won't be released until the latter part of 2011. They'll probly want to get some Mike episodes thrown in together between the two Joel sets.

I agree, The Gamera set will probably be the fall/winter one (perhaps 22) and 21 in the summer will be the normal 2 Joel/2 Mike.

Brian Ward posted this message not too long ago in the announcement thread on Satellite News's front page ---------------- Hey, gang– Happy Turkey Day! It was brought to my attention that I should come by to answer a couple questions and was absolutely thrilled to see the overwhelmingly positive responses to the announcements.
First off… The license owners didn’t soften up, per se. They actually handed over the rights to a company in the U.S. That company happened to be the same company that brokered the deal for us to license the original GAMERA titles. So, yeah… We didn’t win over the Japanese. We didn’t win over Mr. Frank. We simply saw an opportunity where we didn’t have to deal with either. And we took it.
Second… This set, tentatively titled “GAMERA VS. MST3K”, will be XXI. After all, the numbers really correspond to the sets, not to the themes. After all, wasn’t the 20th Anniversary set officially XIII? Or was it XII? Can’t remember…
No figurines. That would still require the permission of the Japanese owners. Don’t wanna go there. We can’t make “GAMERA toys.”
That’s about as far as we’ve gotten thus far. Still working on bonus material, etc.
Thanks again, guys and gals!
Brian Ward ----------------- So it's official, the all Gamera set will be Volume 21 after all.
Very cool how they got the rights, Smart move!

I have been a member here for some time. I have been waiting until I had something intelligent to say before I posted. Obviously, I gave up. It took an announcement like this to draw me out of the woodwork. Great work, Shout Factory, just amazing! I want to preorder right now and camp outside the post office until this set arrives.
I already have the two they plan to re-release, but I will buy them again, anyway. Why? Partly to support Shout Factory's efforts and partly because I am just like that.

Very cool news today for sure. Too bad there won't be any Mike episodes for a time but to get all the Gamera flicks in one set is going to be awesome!

So I'm wondering how long will this set be in print?
We shouldn't fear it becoming out of print anytime soon right?

I called it.
Anywho am definately picking up Beginning of the End. It's the only Rhino episode that eluded me. I'm happy with my copy of Incredibly Yadda Yadda Yadda so I probably wont invest in that.

Wow I mean Holy Smokes and Zowie... I do not believe what I have been reading. I just remembered that this announcement was set for today so I came here. I kept thinking as I read every post this cannot be true. Will I get a Sike or is there such a thing as Turkey Fool Day just like April Fools Day ? After eating very well on Turkey with all the trimmings, awesome deserts then watching the Dallas Cowboys lose again I could not think how my day could get any better but very happily I was wrong Awesome set that I will pre-order as soon as it is available... Oh Man Awesome.. Now excuse me while I do a happy dance in the middle of my living room and work off some of this turkey... Wooooo Whoooooo !!!!

Incredible!
I never thought I'd see them officially. Great work SHOUT (and what good luck for us all that they were able to bypass the Japanese)
As to the others - I'll likely skip Strange Creatures unless the extras are mind numbingly irresistible, but BOTE is a possible double dip, depends on extras, but it's more likely a re-purchase.

That's always a good thing. I was having Godzilla vs megalon flashbacks, for a long time fan It's hard to believe this set is really happening. But it is so go Msties!
