There. Feeling refreshed? Good. Now, back to discussing Rebecca Black (you're right that "Becky Black" would be the better choice for cool rock star name.) The thread's halfway done, you can make it the rest of the way! I was listening to this on low volume and it took awhile to realize I was rolled. Crazy stuff.

Seriously, this song is the best thing to happen to Youtube since the Viacom suits.

i never get this. people said the new kim kardashian song was the worst song ever too. it's giving these tunes way too much credit for being interesting. all kidding aside, they're not remarkably bad. they're decidedly mediocre. by contrast, here's some bloody AWFUL music. www.amazon.com/Douglas-Jungle-Bonus-Track/dp/B002Y2T170(it's so bad the internet can only support one minute of it. but i used to have a copy of this, it just goes on like that. i think later they introduce some monkey noises.) nummy muffin.... COOCOOL BUTTER!!!

But one night in the future, all will wake up in a cold sweat, thinking they'd escaped me, only to realize that I was never gonna give them up for lost.

here's someone who's put way too much thought into the becky black tune. and yet inexplicably i read the whole thing. tinyurl.com/4kl28w5For Time—in its relativity, brutality and absurdity— is one of "Friday"'s great targets. In an instant day passes to night, and the realism of the bus stop gives way to a surreal blue-screen panorama of a full moon and false city running on loop as Ms. Black rides in the convertible, apparent-heiress to the grand American tradition of high school cruising, that curious space birthed by Cold War highways (themselves relics of our atomic fears) in which teenagers first experienced themselves as such.

Everything musical has been a disappointment to me since Milli Vanilli was found to be a couple of lip synchers.

I enjoy "Friday" more than any Milli Vanilli song.
