Let me see what I can do...... Planning to buy tickets next weekend. If you ended up not being able to make it I expect it wouldn't be too hard to sell it.

That would be great if you could find a hotel near the theater. There's a chance I could stay with some friends in the area, but with little kidlets running around, I'm not so sure... I might prefer a hotel. ;D Plus, we have nine months to plan it, so I reckon there's no hurry.

Really cool to see (relatively) so many interested in joining us! Should be a lot of fun. The area around the theater is a bit confusing to drive around, to me. Lots of one-way streets in random directions. Then again, I am prone to easy confusion when driving in cities, so take that as you will. So I might recommend getting a hotel as close by as possible for that reason, if you're like me at all. Just looking at a map, I'm seeing a very highly rated Marriott just around the corner from the theater. Might be a little pricey, but it's probably the most convenient hotel for what you're trying to do. Also, for what it's worth, the Durham Amtrak station is just down the street from it as well.

Just so everyone is aware, if you friend the Carolina Theater on Facebook, you can vote for what movie CT will riff on. I already see one guy is voting for "War Of The Insects". That was the one Sky and I saw at our one only other CT show, but man was it a good one. Hard to argue with it. Still, if not that one, I would kinda like to see another one that they haven't released on DVD yet, like Rattlers or Samson/7 Miracles or something. Also, I found this nifty link on the Theatre's website that lists nearby hotels and restaurants. Can't hurt to consult for our out of town friends coming up. (Hey, Bruce Hornsby's coming to this theater in February! I might have to make two trips there next year!)

I'm not too sure any poll is posted just yet...I'm just finding this mention of it on their Facebook wall:
"Don't forget, all of our friends on Facebook will get to choose the movie!"
That, and the mentioning of it on the event page on the theatre's website itself, are all that mention this arrangement. I'm guessing since it's so far in advance, they're gonna give it a little more time.

Please let us know if you see the poll up. My wife has a Facebook account so I can vote through it.
