I spent Sunday watching NFL Redzone. It's "Short Attention Span Theater" for football fans. Who needs commercials and huddles or timeouts? Just plays for 6-7 hours.

well, vick's all banged up and kafka (!) is turning out to be pretty hopeless. unless they can patch up vick, and quick, i think they can give up on playoffs. which is fine with me, they're in the same division as the 'skins so any misfortune for the iggles is good luck for us.

To the Bills, I tip my cap. They didn't panic and just played. Sure, the pass interference in the end zone was somewhat iffy, but they were assessed an iffy penalty on a Welker reception, so it balances out. As usually happens, the better team won and I'm OK with that.
sky, my Eagle fan friend, good luck if Vick keeps making a target of himself and the defense continues to be as dubious as that of my Patriots.

It seems that the Lions...and Browns are playing well.
If the Browns can beat the Titans tomorrow...then I'll know it's for real...and Colt McCoy may be the QB MVP...if there is one.

Eagles ahead at halftime over San Francisco. They haven't looked very good though.

skins are disemboweling the rams. har har.
am i the only one who, when i think of the rams, i think the 1980 blockbuster "poltergeist"? it had a little-noticed rams theme going through it, back i think when they were still in LA.

skins are disemboweling the rams. har har. Thenewmads, are you a 'Skins fan? I've been a Redskins fan since 1972. I can't believe they're tied for first. I was at work when a friend of mine; who not only has the good taste to be an MST3K fan but is from the D. C. area; text me the good news as "HTTR!" Then I found out that the Cowboys and the Eagles lost their games and started to wonder what the heck was wrong with the NFL this year. May it keep being wrong for us Redskins fans.

Boy the Eagles and Cowboys sure drank the coolaid this week. Sorry sky. I was happy for the Lions (My sister's team), plus we all hate the 'pokes in our family. And I'm still alive in my survivor league, thanks to the Titans. So far I went with Week 1: Packers (got close at the end) Week 2: Jets (good thing I took 'em to beat the Jags and got them out of the way. They don't look so hot this year) Week 3: Seahawks (I had to take the Hawks sometime, and I figured they could handle the Cards. But they sure made me sweat to the end) Week 4. Titans beat the Browns with ease, which was my hope. And with that in mind, some sad news. R.I.P. coach Heimerdinger --- tennessean.com

Go EAGLES! This is our year! For an even bigger letdown than previous years. Did I call it or what?

Go EAGLES! This is our year! For an even bigger letdown than previous years. Did I call it or what? Yep, that definitely looks like you called it. Well, since the Redskins had a bye this week they're now all alone in first place in that confusing NFC East. Is this 1991 or something? The Bills, 49er's, Lions and Redskins all have winning records. I swear that when I arrived home and saw the 49er's/Buccaneers score I immediately thought "Oh great, Joe Montana must be back with them again." So, I'll say it again, what is going on with the NFL this year? The Packers being really good is the only thing that makes sense so far. "Calgon, take me away!" *AL*

(eli's out, i think for the season, and mcnabb, well, we all know what happened with that).

I still remember the possible names they had and I voted for the Houston Wildcatters. Still bummed that it was the ultra-boring Texans. Plus, we lived right by the Medical Center...sucked because they were building that damn stadium just a couple blocks away.
