My hope for the Canes? To not miss the playoffs by getting eliminated in the last game of the season for the THIRD year in a row.

My remembrance of better days. Missed the playoffs four out of the last five seasons.

I certainly hope that the preseason games and the opening day loss are not a sign of things to come, but MAN the Hurricanes are playing as disappointingly fragile as they did the majority of last year. Struggling to score, and if they allow one goal, they'll allow one or two more immediately afterwards. Not a good combo. I don't have much faith in coach Paul Maurice's abilities to perform adequately in the regular season (strangely, whenever he DOES manage to make the playoffs, his teams usually do pretty well), but for the team's sake I hope he proves me wrong sooner rather than later.

They managed a point out of the Caps tonight, Raja. Staal had two goals. Didn't they lose about a dozen in a row early in the season last year?

I'm sooooo disappointed with the Blue Jackets.
I think The Cleveland Curse bled into Columbus.

The Blues have been awesome since Ken Hitchcock took over as coach. I've been really impressed by the Blues.
