Is anyone else a fan of these books?
"The Amazing Colossal Episode Guide" is, of course, one of the very best.
I also enjoyed:
Marc Scott Zicree's "The Twilight Zone Companion" (I don't agree with all of his episode reviews, but a fascinating read nonetheless)
Martin Gram, Jr.'s "The Alfred Hitchcock Presents Companion" (a few mistakes, but also jam-packed with information and facts. I find myself reading this all the time)
Chris Mann's "Come and Knock on Our Door" (a pretty engrossing look at the "Three's Company" production and the backstage problems. Nice episode guide too)
Melany Shapiro's "Bonanza: The Unoffical Story of the Ponderosa" (Obviously a labor of love. Melany's favorite eps are mine, too)
Ed Robertson's "The Fugitive Recaptured" and Mel Proctor's "The Official Fans Guide to The Fugitive" (both solid reads on the classic David Janssen series)

Good suggestion!
I always enjoyed Mr. Show: What Happened?! and the Red Dwarf: Programme Guide.

I still have this and love it to death... I go back and read it now and again. It's an exhaustive history of the show and an episode guide. It was updated and expanded in the 90s, but I never bought that one because it was pricey and I was hearing that it fell apart easily (binding, cover peeling, pages falling out) There's rumors of a 3rd edition - if that happens I hope they work on the quality... my 1st edition is well worn but completely intact. Apart from the MST3K book, I have the Red Dwarf guide and one for the Tick (Mighty Blue Justice). I read, but don't think I bought, the companion for "Are You Being Served" After I bought the Outer Limits Companion, I bought one for the original Star Trek and was real disappointed (it wasn't half as extensive or informative)

I forgot one doozy-somewhere, buried in a storage unit, I have the companion book for The Young Ones. It was actually written by the guys and is a silly and fun as one would expect.
I also have several older Who guides that are quite exhaustive in what they cover.

Not sure if you consider this a TV companion, but growing up the Official Three Stooges Encyclopedia was my Bible.
