An Ode to Joel: because why not?

Hi everyone! This is my first post here and I'm excited to talk to all of you. I'm sort of a MSTie newbie, but I fell in love with this show the moment I first saw it, and that has some merit, right?

I decided to draw Joel and the bots because... well, just because, really. Joel is far and away my favorite person on the show and the expression he's making in the original photo (link at the bottom) is just so cute. Took two months, Prismacolor colored pencils on heavy watercolor paper. Please feel free to critique, and here's a link to my deviantart page.

That's incredible. The bots are so good, they almost look photo realistic. There's something strange about Joel's face that I can't put a finger on though. I think it's that he's not sleepy enough.

That's being extremely picky though. Great job. It's almost hard to believe that's done with pencils.
