I think Birdemic is October.
My theater was about half full. But lively. And I had a good time. Loved the white trash Twilight sketch.

My theater was 90% full and laughed the hardest at the prune juice commercial.
It was a very fun experience and the guys did a great job creating new jokes for an old standard. I brought a MST virgin with me, and he loved it. Another convert for the cause!
However, I'm bummed that Mrs. Atari wouldn't come with us. In her words: "I've watched that movie once. I'm NEVER going to sit through it again."

Looking Birdemic up on the Regal site, it says it's the day after a double feature of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein!
I sooooooo want to go to both of those.

My theater was pretty close to packed, and we had a blast, too.
Though when Manos finally started up, I must confess, for the first five minutes or so, I was getting a sinking feeling. MST3K's riff on Manos is. after all, the gold standard, and it looked for a short while whether everything the Rifftrax gang did would pale in comparison.
But once Torgo showed up, the riffing picked up right with it, and then... oh, boy!

I just got back from Manos. As usual, the riffing was top-tier. I was a little apprehensive, seeing as the MST3K riff is my favorite episode, but this new riff is about on par, and nicely different; it wasn't just an updated retread of the same jokes.
That being said, I really wish I hadn't been trapped next to a cackling beached whale that took up half of my seat and shrieked at the nearest sight of a joke. He also commented, saying things like "What the?!" and "oh man, that is sooooooooo bad!"
"Really?", thought I, "Because I couldn't tell. I thought I was watching Casablanca. Now shut up, Jabba- you are what's wrong with America. Now stop crushing my thigh with my own arm rest." Not that I actually said any of that out loud, but I really wanted to.
But as I said, I enjoyed myself in spite of the Michelin Man next to me.

Our theater was pretty well packed. Everyone seemed to have a blast.
Those "trivia" cards at the intro were fabulous! Especially the Transformers 3 haiku.

Me and the pooky saw it at the Waterford Lakes 20 in Orlando. We were a little late getting there, and the theater was completely full; we watched the short from the aisle until an usher came in and moved some people around so we'd have a place to sit. I loved every second of the entire thing; this was the first time I got to have the MST/Rifftrax experience in a whole theater full of people, and it was awesome. Me and the pooky were laughing our asses literally off (that's right, this morning we are both completely assless). The riffing was consistently excellent; I don't remember a dud joke in there, and I recall at several points I was almost crying from laughing so hard. Good times. Still riding the high today, and looking forward to the next one (when is it? when is it?).

Hmm... the TORGO coupon code is being wonky. I add Jack the GIant Killer DVD, it doesn't work. I add Jack AND anything else and it works. So Jack DVD + digital short for 99 cents = coupon works.

You know those riffs that aren't particularly creative but just catch you the right way? During Cylinders, when the girl was making her flashlight constellations, the narrator says "It's like having an actual planetarium in your room." Mike said simply, "Is it?" I just lost it. Maybe it was the timing/delivery, but it keeps popping in my head.

"LOOK WHAT I MAAAADE FOR YOU...." that was a one-two punch.

I had a great time. My theater was packed -- they actually played it in two auditoriums, and both of them were full.
The entire show was a blast. I especially enjoyed the "Norman" short. (Anyone else think that Norman could have used a tall glass of prune juice?) And Manos itself was super. In my theater people were laughing even when there was no riffing. All they needed was a shot of Torgo and they were cracking up.
In the beginning, I was worried that it wouldn't be as good as the original. In fact, for the first few minutes riffs from the original were playing in my mind at certain scenes. But that ended quickly. I really enjoyed the new riffs. My favorite was the white trash Twilight sketch. All in all I'd say this riff holds its own against the original. I really hope they release it on DVD soon.
