In response to your confusion as to whether the Creeper in Hatton's films is intended to be the same character throughout all three films, as someone who has seen Pearl of Death and House of Horrors as well as reading up about them, the Creeper seen in the Brute Man is supposed to be the same one seen in House of Horrors (the opening credits even appear in the same backdrop of Rondo Hatton's shadow walking, indicating that they were supposed to be part of the same series). The Pearl of Death, an instalment of Universal's Sherlock Holmes series, plants the seeds for the Creeper we see in the Brute Man, and is even for all intents and purposes the exact same character (right down to the back breaking) but in what I assume is an attempt at Universal trying to separate Sherlock Holmes from Universal Monsters the company claims is a different character called "The Hoxton Creeper." It should also be noted that the Creeper dies in Pearl of Death, which could point at the characters being separate, but then again the Creeper wouldn't be the first Universal Monster to be resurrected without so much as an explaination... That's just my unnderstanding of it anyway.

My pleasure. I love those old Universal flicks. In fact I was watching one when I saw your latest entry was the Brute Man, which made me smile.
