Got this in my e-mail today. I thought I'd post it.
Dear Friends,
As we have been adding dates to our live show schedule for 2013, we have come to the decision that this will be our last year actively touring as Cinematic Titanic. We feel that with any project there is a time to move on and as 5 people living in 5 different cities with different lives and projects, it has become increasingly difficult to coordinate our schedules and give Cinematic Titanic the attention it requires to keep growing as a creative enterprise and a business. As a result, we have decided to take this indefinite hiatus.
The last 5+ years have been an amazing opportunity for us all to reconnect creatively with one another and more importantly to connect with the fans of MST3K and new fans of Cinematic Titanic. We've had the great pleasure of playing some beautiful theaters around the country and have taken movie riffing to places we never dreamed, like ILM and Pixar, a sports arena, and even Broadway! The love we've been shown by those we've met and performed for will be with us forever.
We will be performing as many dates as is feasible this year and we hope you'll come out and see us go at it one last time if we come to a theater near you in 2013. We are still in discussions about the production of additional DVDs and we'll keep you posted.
We thank you deeply for all the support you've shown Cinematic Titanic over these years and we're looking forward to many great shows in the year ahead.
Cheers,
The CT Crew

So sad this is their last year (especially as two of their movies I found for them)... a few years ago I never would have thought we'd ever see something as awesome as Cinematic Titanic (or the opportunity to meet Joel, Trace, Frank, Mary Jo and Josh); so I'm a super thankful MSTie. AND I'm super-glad to see they're playing two shows near where I live in November!!!

Travis, very well said. When MST3K shut down I thought we may never be treated to their spectacular brand of humor. When CT (and RIffTrax) launched I immediately saw that the magic was still there. I love their comedic stylings so much I hope that either individually or in some combinations we can still see them perform.

Thank you to CT for five great years. I made two of the live shows and met some good friends, including the awesome RAD. Hope I can catch one more.

They are announcing more dates all the time. As I get dates and locations, can post them here.

Posting dates would be cool. Arlington, Va is the closest date to me yet. I am not above sneaking on a low cost flight to catch a show that's well attended by my board friends.

Ah, this saddens me, I truly enjoyed their work. I got to see them once and it was an amazing evening. I do hope they release those final shows.

I'll be seeing them at the Royal Oak Music Theater a week from today. I'll see if I can convince them to change their minds. No promises, but I'll see what I can do.

I hope they do a show near me. If they do anywhere vaguely near me (within a three hour radius) I may have to go!

So sad to see it end. I'm glad I got to see them once and to meet them afterwards and to personally shake Joel's hand and thank him for the laughs. When CT first started I was so glad to hear Josh was part of it. I've always enjoyed his all too short stint on MST and was glad he was back in the fold. Hope to see them one more time.

In the middle of the sad news about CT, a little glimmer of good news: I've read on Satellite News that CT is going to be performing at the Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse on May 31 and June 1. I just got off the phone with a MSTie pal of mine who lives in Arlington -- just across the bridge from DC, here -- and we've already marked out those two dates. So, at last, I'll finally get to catch a CT show.
So, look... if there's anybody on this forum who lives in DC or the close-in 'burbs of Arlington, let me know if you'd be into a meetup at the Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse for the CT shows there.
