Just a couple of hours until brackets are locked, so this is your last chance! Make your picks and lose all productivity for the day.

Marquette/Davidson game was a gutwrencher. I love both teams, but I always root for Davidson.
MST3k bracket is sucking so far, but I included some of my weirder selections in it just for fun. Got 2 perfect brackets thus far, but one of them has Butler and the other has Notre Dame in the F4 which I don't actually see happening heh.

I have to admit, I feel pretty good about picking Harvard over New Mexico. But man, what a generally rotten first day of games. Yeah, Gonzaga had to fight to make it out of the first round and that Marquette game was pretty good, but there were some ugly, ugly blowouts in games that should have been much better - in prime time, no less. But I won't complain. There's a lot of tourney left to go EDIT: My bad - that Harvard pick was a different bracket in another group. They can all be hard to keep straight.

Heh...I'm doing miserably across the board. My best Bracket is 16 out of 19...and it was the one where I just chose the teams I personally liked more. SO MUCH FOR BRACKETOLOGY HURR (i literally have a folder on my computer dedicated to college bball stats and scouting reports!)
Sokay though. Still got most of my genuine faves to root for.

Lot of upsets...who figured Wisconsin would go our right away? And Kansas State should have won, but don't know what they were doing out there. Got to say that the games are all really good so far.

Wisconsin losing steamed me. There are few 2-8 seeds that I don't at least CONSIDER the possibility of a first round upset. I really didn't give more more than a passing thought to Ole Miss over WI. Sheesh.

Having watched Wisconsin quite a bit this year, I knew they were very, very hot and cold. They beat some high-level competition but then lost to teams like Purdue by 13 in Madison. I took a chance and had them out in the first round, and it paid off.
Otherwise, an entertaining first couple of rounds. Florida Gulf Coast is shaping up to be a fun underdog. There's a lot of talent and confidence going on with that team right now. I wonder if they have the gas to keep going.

Abe's Amazing Bracket is not so amazing, but I'm doing better than in past years.

My mind is in neutral while I suffer over IU's humiliating performance against Syracuse last night. Had to be the worst performance against a 2-3 zone in history. Indiana looked like they had never heard of such a thing.
Sigh. Gonna be a long summer.

I can't bring myself to cheer for a team that plays zone defense. It's so lazy and cheap.
But a team that can't beat a zone probably doesn't deserve to advance.

The Kansas-Michigan game was fantastic....Michigan won in OT, but wow, that was thrilling, especially since Kansas was winning late in the game. And Duke won too, so I feel good about that.

To be fair, that's a pretty damn good zone, but I definitely see your point. That game exposed a fatal flaw of the Hoosiers this year. You gotta win six in a row, though. No excuses

OK, the Final Four is set and once again Mr. A seems to be in control. I honestly can't believe I'm in second right now. I only have Louisville left!
And man, what a horrific injury Ware suffered in the Duke game yesterday. I've never seen anything like that and am glad I only caught a brief glimpse of it on the replay. Props to him, though, he handled it like a champ.

Ware is supposed to make a full recovery, from what I heard. At first, I didn't know what happened, cause they showed Duke making the 3 point shot, and the next thing you saw was the 4 Louisville guys down on the floor. I've never seen an injury like that, and am glad that CBS didn't show it ad nauseum.

Not really off-topic, but on another note: Can someone tell me how the Catholic Seven can LEAVE the Big East, but then get to take the name with them?
