Or in less fancy non-Latin terms, it's 25th anniversary.
It's gonna be coming up soon at the end of this year, so what cool things do you think will happen? Another cast & crew reunion? A special DVD box set from Shout Factory? What ideas do you guys have?

They should get CT and Rifftrax together and do a riffing of the MST3K movie. I mean imagine that!

Begin releasing the KTMA's. Give it up already Jimmy! I was sure we'd see the KTMA versions when Shout released their Gamera boxset. I guess it's just not meant to be... I'm a sucker for reunion photoshoots, so my dream would be to have a nice portrait of all the Brains together in a movie theater, riffing at the screen. What's great is that, even if they can't pose together at the same time (or won't), they still can Photoshop 'em all together! Make that thing happen, Shout, and sell autographed prints on your website or something. A win for everybody involved!

I would love some nice documentaries on specific epsiodes...or a peek into the writing room. If they had any more film on writing sessions...off-the-cuff and candid stuff...that'd be a great treat!
But, more than anything, I just want something special for the big 25. Not just another box-set. (Although i'll take another one, of course) Just something to make it...special...

I predict that when the 25th anniversary occurs, everyone who worked for Best Brains will be transformed into pure energy.

I wish for nothing because as a Mstie the last couple of years have been amazing. That is gift enough for me.

Begin releasing the KTMA's. Give it up already Jimmy! With regard to the KTMA episodes, I remember reading that none of them wanted those out on DVD, since they were just starting to work together on the format of movie riffing, and the riffs were not scripted, they were pretty much ad-libbed while watching the movie for the first time by the guys. In some movies, they just watch and there are chunks of time where there is no riffing at all. Maybe some day in the future they will come out. Who knows?

You know what I think would be cool for this 25th milestone? Weird Al doing a polka rendition of the MST3K Love Theme, he's also a fan isn't he?
And in the not-likely-but-would-be-really-awesome category: a 3rd official MST3K convention!

^^ It's not like we as fans haven't seen the KTMA's yet. I really think they should get official releases.

Another thing I'd like to see for the 25th anniversary:
I know it's already been wished for countless times, but I would love it if they finally made that "director's cut" of MST3K: The Movie. Assuming the unused material still exists and is still in good condition, I think now would be a great time to release a special edition Blu-ray and/or DVD with the deleted scenes readded to the film.
If Universal isn't willing to do it, I wonder if Shout! Factory could. After all they do release many cult classic films on home video, and releasing a special edition of The Movie would fit in well with their DVD sets of the show. And they tend to do good with adding bonus features, so it'd be great if we could finally see some good extras, which previous video releases haven't really done so far.
Maybe it's still an issue of film rights and money or whatever, but now would probably be a good time if any to finally fix it up and give The Movie the treatment it deserves.
