I'll always remember him as 'The Wizard' in Taxi Driver, but he was great in Young Frankenstein. R.I.P.

So sad. He was a great comedic actor. When I first saw him in Young Frankenstein, as a kid, he made me laugh and scared the heck out of me. In Everybody Loves Raymond he was all around funny. He will be missed.

Amen. Look at the last 2 pages. Solid street cred, this man had. "We salute you--One of the good dead ones." --312

I'm sorry to hear about Peter Boyle's death. When did this happen, yesterday?
One of my biggest non-mst3k movie laughs was when when he and Gene Wilder were singning "Putting on the Ritz" in Young Frankenstein. I was a kid at the time and I remember me and my brother rolling on the floor with laughter while wearing our footy pajamas. A happy memory.
Rest in Peace, Peter.

One of the top five episodes because of him. Wonderful actor. (And I hate to say this but this news makes me wonder - has anyone seen anything about Mel Brooks since Anne Bancroft passed away? I hope he's doing okay.)

I read recently that Mel is working on a script for a Broadway version of Young Frankenstein. Seriously.
Chloris Leachman will reprise her role of Frau Blucher (cue horses).

Everyone awesome is dying. I've noticed that too. RIP Mr. Boyle.

He was unique and will be missed. Glad he was on Raymond for his final years. That is a good send off, a bit of Big Fame. God rest his soul, and keep him in Peace now.

(And I hate to say this but this news makes me wonder - has anyone seen anything about Mel Brooks since Anne Bancroft passed away? I hope he's doing okay.) I love that episode of The X Files. A very strong performance. This is very sad news. I loved Young Frankenstein, and he was the main reason why I watched Everybody Loves Raymond. Hell, the only reason. Without him, that was just another sitcom. But he was terrific in the role of Frank. He could crack me up with his rude and crude behavior, but he could also show unexpected moments of tenderness that moved me. A super actor. R.I.P.
