Watched Village of the Giants, of all the episodes that I've never seen until a Rhino/Shout DVD, this one is one of the best. Highly watchable AND awful, just the way I like them. My god... the snarky teen dialogue becomes so grating. And the dancing scenes go on forever... At least Torgo makes a cameo! Loved his sped up theme music.

Hey Torgo,
The bonus DVD you got from Shout, was it sealed/wrapped like the main set? Just curious, as mine was unsealed.
Thanks

Anyone else hear a loud audio pop towards the end of Village? (Not as bad as the audio screech on Final Sacrifice, but it made me jump.) Too bad they couldn't get Ron or Beau for an interview. Don't know if anyone has ever noticed that in Rocket Attack, Moby Dick can be seen on a theater marquee in New York, and this is the movie Gypsy names in the game show sketch. Coincidence? I scan through my old broadcast copies before I "retire" them, in case there's an ad or something I want to save, and found one tiny difference in Deadly Mantis. Right after the host segment where they hide behind an asteroid to evade Pearl, there is a silent spaghetti ball bumper not on the Shout DVD. Not a deal breaker of course, but a curious omission. It's kind of weird the theatrical trailer is textless, but the trailer clips in the William Alland doc have them.
