As if the RiffTrax TV special wasn't enough, I just read on MST3KInfo that an over-the-air affiliate channel called RetroTV is going to start airing 26 MST3K episodes! www.mst3kinfo.com/?p=17233I checked and it seems that it's in my area but I'll have to check our reception myself to be sure. Can you believe it? Our little cowtown puppet show is finally coming back to TV!

I have it in my area as well but it has not been picked up by Comcast cable yet. I will hook up my over the air antenna however, and see if I can pick up reception. Only 26 episodes but it is good news

Wow, that's surprising. Gotta be the first time the show has been back on broadcast since the MST Hour, correct? Surprisingly, I seem to be right on the edge of one of their broadcast areas. Will have to look for them. For reference, here's a list of their affiliates: www.myretrotv.com/affiliates--schedules.htmlPretty good mix of early and late episodes, too. Not the greatest episodes of all time, in my opinion, but a good variety in terms of timeline. Will have to remember to check this out.

Ah, I remember the last time MST aired on television. That final airing of Screaming Skull on the Sci-Fi Channel. Such a sad day. We never thought we'd see it on TV ever again.
Then we get this news. Such a great, great time to be a MSTie.
The batch of episodes is uneven though, but I guess that's to be expected due to movie rights and all. The first five on that list especially make me nervous about the development of new fans out of this, as first season episodes are for the die-hards, I'm not a huge fan of Venus and Unearthly, and Fu Manchu is a pretty harsh movie. But still, just seeing any MST on television is outstanding news.

I'm really glad that finally someone got 26 PD episodes and will start to air them in the near future! Tis a shame that San Diego does not get Retro TV. I would love to watch the episodes when they air. Hopefully, some channel picks up Retro.

This is really great news for MST3k, and long overdue, I think. Its amazing what a life-force MST3k has without the benefit of repeats to keep it alive. Its completely die-hard fan driven. Retro TV broadcasts from & is based here in my hometown (Chattanooga)... and the irony is, I have DirecTV and can't get it without an antenna, which I just can't bring myself to shell out for despite missing the airing of my favorite show... because according to a quick look into broadcast TV antenna for my TV, it would cost around $100. So, great news for MST3k, but poopie for me.

I didn't bother getting a digital antenna when the broadcast stations switched to digital as I just switched over to full digital cable, and I'm not shelling out $100 for one for just one show, even if it is MST3K. It's too bad, too. Would have been fun to see it on television again.

I am so excited for this! For some reason I hope it is on Sunday morning for brunch and Sunday night for peace before horrible, horrible Monday.

I don't know where everyone else is shopping, but my digital antenna was 20 bucks.
