Well it's time to announce a winner! First I want to thank all of those who took the time to enter! We had a lot of fantastic and funny entries. But I enlisted the help of one of my twin sons who went through them all with me and we chose the one that was simple but made us both laugh. And that winner is "Mylungswereaching" with this caption: THE TUNNEL OF LOVE ISN'T LIKE I REMEMBERED IT So be sure to contact Skyroniter to claim your ten dvd episodes or six blueray episodes! Thanks for entering and for the laughs!

Congratulations to Mylungswereaching on a great riff and thank you Mantis for a fun contest with a great selection of riffable photos! Now that it is over, I just wanted to say that it was cool Mantis used a still from a Christopher R. Mihm movie here. I met Mihm last year at a book/film festival (he was the only filmmaker there) and he showed us (unfortunately, only a handful of people) some clips from his movies. The still here from Moon Zombies was in one of those clips. I talked with Mihm for a while, including some about MST3K (since he's a Minnesotan) because I had just been to my one and only live CT show. He is a fan of MST3K, but didn't know CT existed. It seemed that MST3K provided him a bit of inspiration for his films, though he is just a big fan of the cheesy B&W horror/sci-fi genres. As he puts it (if I remember right), he tries to make the best worst old new movies. I have only seen one of his films, The Giant Spider.
Interesting bit of trivia before I shut up here: the drive-in scene in Giant Spider is filmed in Wisconsin and Mihm said one of the extras was actually an extra in the MST3K classic The Giant Spider Invasion. Those are the only two films the guy has been in. Maybe in another 30 years another Midwest giant spider movie will be made and if the guy is still alive.......
