And I thought the various video covers showing off Demi Moore as the star of this movie were but this one takes the cake. Sure she's the only actor in the movie who's shown on the cover but this one takes it up a notch. Yeah they put a picture of Bruce Lee on the front and it takes up the majority of the box. Unless maybe the person putting this box together mistook Lee Van Cleef for him.

It's a cheap VHS tape.. what do you expect? haha.
I like how it puts two more known star names at the top (Demi Moore & Lee Van Cleef) and poor Timothy Van Patten gets his name cut down to "Tim" and gets put in third place.

Yeah, kinda like the "Jimmy Smits" thing. As I recall, that riff was based on a radio commercial for a movie back in the '80s; all the stars are listed normally, but apparently, at the last minute, the commercial was changed to add the name of actor Jimmy Smits to the list, but the end of the commercial was the only place they had room to tag it on. So, at the end of the commercial, you hear an announcer's voice quietly interjecting "Jimmy Smits" -- not "featuring Jimmy Smits" or "special appearance by Jimmy Smits", just "Jimmy Smits". I also seem to recall Demi Moore appearing in this stinkburger before she became a big star; this direct-to-video dung heap was obviously re-released after she first became huge in the '80s. This is the only movie I've ever seen her in. I wasn't impressed. She's a stiff.

Regarding the Jimmy Smits thing... The movie was the Blake Edwards film "Switch" and it was TV as well as radio ads that featured the abrupt "Jimmy Smits" mention. As I've heard it, Mr. Smits demanded that he not be referred to as "also starring" or "featuring" or anything that would indicate that he wasn't one of the leading stars of the film, so they just....plugged his name in.

Thanks for filling in the details on that. That, then, would be the origin of the running riff where, when anyone in the movie says "switch", Joike or one of the Bots will quickly interject "Jimmy Smits".

Seriously though, it is 20% off! And for just a little whiff of Bruce Lee on the cover, this movie HAS to be worth the admission price.

I was at a used book store several weeks ago and saw a VHS of "Mitchell". The cover art (obviously not a photo) showed Joe Don Baker and Linda Evans dangling from the bottom of a helicopter as it flew over downtown LA. Apparently none of the actual scenes from the movie were considered exciting enough to get anyone to buy it.

Good God! This is worse than Final Sacrifice's video cover with the extremely horrible rendition of the character painting.
