"TURN IT OFF! TURN IT OOOOAAAAAUGH!"
No. I like it.
So I'm watching Teenage Crime Wave for the first time in a while. I remember the first time I watched this episode I was over the moon. I thought it was the perfect blend of stupid movie and great riffing. But for one reason or another I rarely came back to it. Possibly because I turned mostly to collecting th DVD releases, which Crime Wave sadly hasn't graced (...yet. It's a Sony title I believe). But today I finally put it in.
I fell in love all over again.
I love the movie. Absolutely love it. It's such a silly melodrama with wildly over the top acting. The riffing zeros in on that silliness and enhances it ("I'm mother now!"). I'm having so much fun I can hardly contain myself!
I'm not sure if this one is popular around these parts. It doesn't recieve much in-depth discussion like other choice episodes. Who else is a fan? Any non-believers who can't figure out what I'm raving about? TELL ME HERE!

Satan's Jockstrap... what's not to love.
Yeah I liked this one quite a bit. Riffing is quality and the skits are a hoot.
Now that you mention it I need to see if I have it on tape or disc (I want to place a final order with sky before he retires.... get the rest of my KTMAs and whatever "Not Likely's" there on on disc... since my VCR is dead)

I like it. Despite the dated situations it has kind of a sense of realism to it. These days it isn't hard to imagine some delinquents terrorizing a family. Plus it gives us the origins of the "He'll never touch you, Terry. You're dirt" riff, although I believe the actual movie quote is "You're dirt, Terry. He'll never touch you". Close enough.
I do wonder if anyone ever got around to milking those poor cows, though.

it's one of my favorites. it's always the favorite ep i work in on my thanksgiving marathon. sometimes i want to break it out, but i always refrain, waiting for t-day so i can enjoy it most. the riffs are hilarious. and i thought the chick that played terry was a decent actress, despite how lame the movie was. maybe she really was dirt.

Oh, man... that was an instant favorite for me, one of my go-to episodes for when I'm wanting to watch some MST3K but can't make up my mind which episode.
It's got everything... sensationalistic fearmongering teen exploitation, a skeezy doughy guy, stereotyped teenage thugs. Teenage Crime Wave is a gift that keeps on giving. Some of the best riffing ever; Mike'n'the Bots are on it like a dog with a raw steak.
And, Mike's Invention Exchange is all-time, as well as that delicatessen sketch.

what i learned from teenage crimewave: if i have a gun, i'm a big man. and bathing suit pin up photos make great mug shots.

This is the only movie i distinctly remember viewing at 4 am because i could not go to sleep, the insanity of the movie in an actual legitimate good way of the country home stronghold…. and the riffing was on point.

it's one of my favorites. it's always the favorite ep i work in on my thanksgiving marathon... I don't always confine watching that episode to Thanksgiving, but it's always ironic fun on Turkey Day. "So, how does Squanto figure into all this?" --Tom ServoI always love that scene with the TV news bulletin. All three of them were arrested at the same time, but somehow, instead of a standard mug shot, the only photo of Jane the TV station could come up with was that swimsuit shot. AWROOO-OOOOOOOOO!

Yeah, I love this episode and have always thought it was an underrated classic. The riffing is consistently sharp throughout the flick, even when so much of it is just the same characters hanging around the same set just talking. (It's like Reservoir Dogs minus the intensity.) Really hoping this one gets a DVD release soon.
