In terms of all the elements coming together beatifully, my favorite character of the Siffy era (as well as all-time) is Brain Guy. But in terms of a one-note character that equals instant laughter, my other favorite character is Ortega. Talk about making something out of not very much. Maybe I'm an easy touch when it comes to humor, but all Ortega has to do is sit there and and mumble and he's hilarious just doing that. Who else loves Ortega?

I don't remember the episode, but I like the host segment where Brian Guy's having a party and all these oddballs are showing up much to Pearl's dismay, and Ortega is one of his guests lol.

I wasn't too fond of Ortega--he just never had the comic potential that Torgo had--but he had his moments. My favorite is when he's testifying against Mike at trial. "...and in spite of your overtures, he..." "Rrrr-rrr-RRRR-rrrrr!" "Man, Ortega's just killing me up there!"

Too bad Harold P. Warren and Ray Dennis Steckler never collaborated on a movie together. We might have gotten Torgo meets Ortega.
